eBid support happy for seller to relist after he wasn't happy with auction price

So after 10 pages, we have established:-
Someone bid and won on an item.
The seller did not complete the sale.
The seller relisted same item.
The buyer left negative feedback.
This kind of thing happens on ebay all too regularly too. But on ebid:
The seller had the negative feedback struck from his score and hidden from general view.Originally Posted by shortcrust

You seem remarkably well informed, care to elaborate? Or is this privilaged information limited to the cognisti?Originally Posted by shortcrust

Sorry I missed it, this site does not seem to have alerts and I ended up going to bed.
This is all going to go down to where they stand, if they have a heavy ebay influence, as most of those trying to divert the thread had, then they will continue to look bad on any thing that is not ebay, so obviously look at ebid in a bad light.
If you actually use ebid and are better informed, then you are more likely to draw on your own experience with ebid and see that rather than having an ignore the customer and deciding on the bias of buyer or seller, as ebay do, ebid have a human looking into it, and they will try to consider what is best for both parties without trying to destroy either unless it has been a blatant scammer then they will just shut them down completely.
To me this is what it boils down to. The buyer is trying to look like the victim, and I suppose if what they said is true, then they would have something to grouch about.
But the problem lies in the fact that this is the third website forum they have started this thread on, which does cast doubts on their motives and then on how trustworthy they are, and on how they handled themselves when the problem went on, as I suspect they are more used to communicating with ebays copy and paste help, rather than a human that is actually going to consider the case without bias.
And I agree ebid just tried to do what was least damaging to both parties, which I think I said in my first post. I can't recall it seems like a lifetime ago.
But as I said before I hope the paranoia shown on this site by it's regulars has not damaged this site, the way it damaged ebays boards, as it does seem like a useful site.0 -

Any comments on your accusations that MSE is funded by advertising?
And I care because.....
The point was that you and your friends are not doing this site any favors, as people are not just deciding on ebay or ebid in this post, which I still think is a pointless argument, as they really have no choice, as ebay no longer want them.
They are also looking to see if they should dare to post on this site.
What happens if you and your friends do not like the subject that they wish to post, or the comment they wish to add to a topic.
look at something objectively if you can, and see how this is going to look to some poor soul that is wondering if they should post on this site. This has been just as bad as posting on the ebay boards.
All I know is that looking back over thread and the way you acted, and if I had the option to go back to when i posted my first post, I know fine well there is no way in hell I would have clicked that button. Who needs that much abuse, when there are other places without the problem regulars that you can discuss things without all the agenda.
One of those from ebid actually deleted their post, and has probably deleted their membership for all I know, I think that was probably after one of your fine upstanding members started threatening to attack ebid sellers accounts.
You look at the way you all acted on this thread and ask yourself, if you were new to this site, would you risk it, or use another site?0 -
Can't speak for anyone else but I always speak on the phone to an ebay customer service rep in Ireland when I need to contact them. Ebid doesn't offer that level of support, does it?
yes and they are looking at a computer monitor and it is just as if you were being copied and pasted to, as they have no power to make decisions and are just gate keepers to the people that could actually do something about it, as it is all dependent on who you are and what the ebay bias is on that day.
Ebid do not need phone support, as this case proves, that the support email goes to someone that can actually do something about the problem.
and please do not tell me that you believe ebay has good customer support. I was on ebay for what seemed like for ever and I like everyone else knows that is a fallacy.
You ever seen that comedy with the woman behind a counter, I think she works in a tax office or a job center or something, I only ever seen the advert for it. But that is the perfect description for ebay customer support.
"Sorry but the computer says no"
But it is good that you are showing your agenda now.0 -

dont think its got anything to do with me having privilaged information
if two parties use a arbiter then the arbiter gathers all the information from both parties the arbiter uses this information plus in this case any AAL entrys to make there judgement just like any appeal system on any auction site.0 -

back to your agenda again ! ebid support works through a contact us button, there is no 30 questions before you can atualy type in what your concern is, you just type in your concern, and post within 5 mins you get a return saying we have recived your question and within 2 hrs you get a personal reply dealing with your concern.
your again are drawing comparisons yet you have no idea of how ebid works in a personal sense and by your own addmission.
thats why i say at the top of this post you have a agenda here witch is at best based on here say you have no personal experience of using ebid0 -
Conspiracies...agendas!! Do you believe in leprechauns and UFO's?!
OK, its time I came clean - you've rumbled me!!
The truth is, me and my ebay chums have been hiding out for decades since assassinating JFK and kidnapping Elvis. We got tired of laying low so a year ago appeared to scotchbidder in his sleep and tried to take over control of ebid and its mystical powers. Well he saw right through us so ever since we have been attempting to topple the magical kingdom through the evil power of Forum.
There it is, you made me say it, I hope you're happy - now pass me the confession to sign.
If it hadn't been for those pesky meddling kids...!0
