There is a really neat freebie prog called 'WIPE' that enables you to delete all sorts of unecessary thingies with just 2 clicks. :D

Would do a link but I don't know how!!!!! Can someone explain please? :-/

  • I have never tried it myself, but a friend always puts clingfilm over his keyboard.
He says it does not interfere with his working on it, and just replaces it periodically with a fresh sheet.
Keeps it dust free, crumbs free, and would protect it from coffee spills etc.

I don't want to use expensive anti bacterial clothes anymore and i did watch the programme "How clean is my house" which featured how to clean these items hygenically cheaply, but i've forgotten what they used

    Any ideas?

    Hi Kimberly,

I just use the hoover and a soapy cloth on my keyboard and vinegar spray on the screen. This older thread might help: Cleaning grungy keyboard?

  • If I remember it was just hot soapy water, the cloth was wrung out until just moist though. For tricky bits you could use a toothbrush??
  • Hi Kimberley

You don't mention if you're at work or not - cos if you are just charge it to them! For keyboards, we use an air spray thing here, is a really powerful burst of air in something like a deoderant can but you have long nozzle on the end so you can get in between all the keys is relly good. Is disgusting the stuff that comes out!!!

That sounds good, where can i get one
  • I'm not keen of grubby keyboards at all ..... :p I use a fine mist of Mr. Muscles Bathroom Cleaner on it - its very good. I also use it on the screen, printer and other things like wall light fittings and so on. With regards to the keyboard I first unplug it from the processor box then use an old toothbrush and paper towels to scrub it clean. its amazing what grubbiness comes off.

I may convert and make up an Old Style spray bottle of watery vinegar when this bottle of commercial stuff has been used up. :D
