Spoken to currys again this morning to be told Beko are going to ring me "sometime this week" to arrange a day to fix - have now said this totally unacceptable and if noone rings me today i am bringing it back, and will sit there until its replaced.0

You might be in for a long wait as it's highly unlikely that the shop will have the drier in stock and the chances are that it get delivered directly from the manufacturer.
A repair may well end up being quicker than a replacment.0 -
...and will sit there until its replaced.
Be prepared that you might be there for a fairly long time, until they throw you out of the shop.
You are acting unreasonable, They have complied with the SOGA, You aren't inconvenienced, how ever did people cope before the advent of Tumble Dryers.0 -
Buying a BEKO was not a good idea if you expect parts and service to be quick. Budget brand = budget service and backup. No free lunch, and no free laptop
