Same as above, media player 10, 512 ADSL, used for streaming a lot of BBC programs. All OK.
Tried all the above 'fixes', mutterings stop after approx 60 secs with 'reached end of file'. Hard to see how it can be faulty at this end, if others are experiencing the same problem and media player works fine in all other uses.

The only mutterings that ever worked for me was the second one.
Don't know why that is different, but it is. The others I have tried to downlad etc. but never been successful.
I'll just keep listening to the second one.

I cannot "Stream" or download the mutterings on the cheapest broadband article - anyone have the same problem? It looks like the file is m3u again...even on Winamp it's just 0 secs...

I have to agree here I got the 1st 2 streaming, but after that only 30/60 seconds then reached end of file. Nothing at all this week though

Just out of curiosity, what's the problem with the way Gadgetdetective does it?

I assume there are a few problems with streaming this way since I've seen it so rarely

I used to get MM just fine one click and off you go in Windows Media. Then I changed my virus checker and could no longer get MM at all except for about the first 20secs of the message. I also had trouble getting MSN today but that is now OK but when Media player comes up after a cold start I get a Pop up message headed "MSN Messenger" message reads "Changing your personal message" (it then gives the file name of Martins message) I do not yet know how to crack it but I am sure that MSN messenger is involved Ron Swinden

I gave up trying to stream the mutterings a long time ago

I just go to the download link. Right-click it and 'save as' to put it on my computer
