  • Sorry, I cannot work out what you are on about.

I can assume you wanted to change to SP and thus gave them your account details and they have transferred the gas, but are waiting on the electricity. You now explode becase a final bill from BG has arrived and you cannot pay for it, so you fire off pointless emails stating some frantic right, without thinking.

1 It is good that you are going to pay by Direct Debit and take advantage of cheaper rates and budget.

I cannot descern why you want to chuck thus away because they ahve taken a payment from you for this service. I myself are currently about £180 in credit with SP, knowing that mny fire is well ablaze and Freda has warm toes, and my April bill is already paid.

I think you are rash in saying another company will take your account, you are in the middle of a transfer.

As for paying BG, if you act nicely, they may take installments, but as you have left them, I dobt it.

As for food, sorry I feel more for those I throw parcels at in North Africa in 1984.

Am i in the right here? I believe i am, please tell me if i am not and why

    Thanks.

I gather you are leaving BG(and have just rec'd a bill) and are moving to SP with the intent of paying by DD?

You have signed a variable DD authority, which authorises them to take money that they calculate is required. The only stipulation is that they must inform you in advance of what they will be taking.

I would be pretty certain that in the 'welcoming bumf' SP would have sent you a letter or email stating that your DD would be £23.50 and the first payment would be on xx March.

If you didn't get such a letter, SP are in the wrong - but as said above I would be pretty certain it was sent.

Seems to me that you have taken careful aim at your target and shot yourself in the foot.

Going to Npower means you won't get dual fuel discount from either company

There is no reason why the debits can not commence before the supply is switched. If you are not prepared to pay for your fuel why are you contracting with anyone? It is your responsibility to ensure you have money in your account to pay for your debits.

I assume Scottish Power will have bounced you on to their standard tariff (both gas and electricity). This should result in a large increase in the cost of anything you consume for the next few weeks.

You really have to grow up and start behaving sensibly. Why are you writing complete tosh about not being able to feed yourself? If you are not prepared to ride a switch don't switch. And how is now paying money out to three suppliers going to improve the situation.

Handing over your bank account details to a new supplier (or to Money Supermarket) and then complaining about debits being taken for your fuel accounts has nothing to do with dyscalculia. I suspect any disorders are less ring-fenced than that.
