Sky magazine £1.75 charge from January

In the latest magazine it says they are going to charge £1.75 for the Sky magazine but subs will be lowered by £1.75 so they will cost the same.

Now they are charging for the magazine (a tax fiddle no doubt) should we have the chance to opt out and save £1.75 a month from our subs ??

I got rid of Sky over a year ago, but from what I remember, the magazine is a pile of junk stuffed full of marketing leaflets.

Hope you can opt out.....what a massive waste of paper.

Yes tha magazine is junk, when it first came out tho it was very good bit like the radio times had listings for all channels for the upcoming month, now they dont even list whats on anymore, its just a revenue earner for Sky they make quite a few million proffit from it.

If subscriptions are lowered by £1.75 per month, shouldnt this apply to people who dont even receive the magazine?

Have to agree, magazine's a waste of time, most months mine never makes it out of the plastic bag.

My letter says that there will be two magazines, one for normal programmes and one for sport. The total cost of these will be £3. I will be interested to see if and how one can cancel ones supposed subscription to these magazines.

Mind you, if it weren't for the Stargates and BSG I would have gone over to Freetosat ages ago.

Which magazine is this, which month, who's on the cover? Can't remember when we last got ours but didn't notice this...they soon go in the recycle bag...shows what we think of them :rolleyes:

don't get the magazine either. Have tried phoning about it a few times but we get told that everyone recieves it and there isn't an opt out.

Don't really want it but DS wants the kids one that comes through for the pictures to cut and stick with.

Never open mine, tried cancelling it ages ago to no avail as just a waste of paper.
