    Hi Lula

Just popping back in to say that I hope my previous post wasn't too negative. Riding is an excellent hobby and one that you and DD can enjoy together, but based on my own experiences I'd say you do get what you pay for with riding schools. The equipment doesn't have to be expensive. Places like Tesco and Decathlon sell riding gear now. You don't need to spend much money on jodphurs etc. Obviously hats have to be up to current safety standards and a pair of boots with a small heel on, but neither of those are hugely expensive either these days. You might want to get DD a body protector at some point and those can add up, but that might be able to wait until she's jumping and/or hacking out.

Hope you're having a lovely holiday!

    Gwenx

Have a great holiday - sounds like you're off to a flying start!

I love a cream tea!!! I'm going to Cornwall for my cousin's wedding in September and the Sunday is going to be swimming on the beach and pasties and I am sure we'll fit in several cream teas (we will if I have anything to do with it!!)

Looking forward to hearing all about your adventures!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

It's all right Souk. I don't think scones count in any diet (nor cream and jam - but only as long as you have them only with scones). Truly. Trust me on this.

    Hello beautiful people,

I gave up trying to post after tuesday when I'd lost my 3rd effort & realised the only way to get a good enough signal would be to scale nearby railway bridge & perch on whilst typing. I was game but DD would not allow.

I've not been online at all since my last post & have no idea what is going on in the world & I'm just popping in very briefly to say that we arrived home about 3 yesterday & after restorative cups of tea launched into a laundry & cleaning frenzy :o which will continue today.

We had a fantastic time & I was very cross that I couldn't post-card you all but will do a full expose of our adventures. We packed a lot in & you know how much I love detail so you be advised - lengthy posts ahead ;).

I have 56 emails to sort through including a few surveys to do & also need to grasp financial matters by the hand. I did come back with money, just not much - I blame the Tamar bridge toll :rotfl:.

I've weighed in & have only gained 4lbs which is somewhat miraculous considering my diet consisted of pasties, ice cream, fish n chip suppers & the inevitable cream teas. We were explorers rather than layabouts so walked miles & miles & miles. Otherwise I woud probably have had to pay excess weight on the bridge toll.

Anyway my lovelies, I'm away to continue the wardrobe clearing, laundry basket reduction, home cleaning & email sifiting.

    Will be back 'dreckly'

    xx

Glad you're back safe[STRIKE] and sound[/STRIKE] and that you had a good time. Am somewhat peeved that you think laundry is more important than a full post of goss, but gives us something to look forward to on a wet (here anyway) Sunday.

Yup, details please! I'm glad it was so lovely - sorry you couldn't get online, but actually that does make a complete break. And it gives us more to look forward to now, as long as you *do* post it all :rotfl:
