the car we want has now gone up in price by over £3000, who mentioned principles? i said i wouldnt order a skoda AGAIN! and if i had known in september what i know now, i wouldnt have ordered. but after waiting 6 month for the deal i have got i have no choice but to wait or pay thousands more for another make/model

Wouldn't it be great if they were just honest with you from the start? You could then have made a decision - either wait for the car or go elsewhere.

    Hope it turns up soon.

thanks. i agree they should be more honest, but then dont suppose they would sell many cars!!i for one wouldnt have ordered from them whatever discounts they offered if i had known the delays and lack of customer care!not holding my breath on delivery, it gonna be at least 9 month from order to delivery.

'Because it's a diesel' is a red herring as I've read the same excuse for the new 1.2 and 1.4 petrol engined VAG cars!

I suspect its more about quotas - keep supply tight then you can keep prices keen.

That's a bloomin long wait, I've had numerous new cars and I've never waited that long. My Dad ordered a Skoda Superb Estate in Feb, it was here 2 weeks later. I've just ordered a new Polo and I'm picking it up next Saturday - maybe I've just been lucky!

they must have already been in the uk when you ordered janninew, when and if my car ever gets built it takes up to 3 weeks to get from manufacturer to uk.congrats on your new car, i had a polo years ago, really good cars.

Most of the car magazines state that the VW problems stem from an increase in demand in China for the delays. A small increase in such a huge market has knock-on effects where supply of engines is the critical problem.

I hope you don't have to long a wait, i'm the most impatient person in the world and would hate to be in your shoes!
I am soooo excited about getting my car, nothing like a nice, shiny new car! :)

Wow, you are so patient! If I was ever buying a new car I would expect it within a week - maybe unreasonably, but there must be some new cars on forecourts somewhere?

6ou'll have spent that three grand saving in taxis before it arrives!!
