I was looking to see if I could find a specific thread about the Lacura Concealer Pen (Touche Éclat knockoff) but the one I did find on MSE was Expired and Closed.

Anyway, after buying the YSL original, I changed over to this and for the last few years have been a happy customer. Went to buy my usual stocking up supply of pens today, and couldn't see any.

A very helpful assistant said that yes, they are much in demand because of all the publicity about them, but Aldi aren't making them any more. Which seems a bit silly to me - if they're popular (?).

Any other similar budget-friendly products I can try? What is the W7 one like? I've seen that in places like TJ Hughes.

Are they getting rid of the whole skin range??
I went to my local Aldi today, they used to have a 6ft section for their skin care and make up and all they had were eye shadows reduced to 65p, the concealer, day and night cream and the eye roll on.
It seems very bizarre that they're getting such rave reviews yet depleting stock??
I stocked up with a few items whilst I could!
    A new start awaits!!

I never got on with the Aldi range of cosmetics. I'm not a brand snob but i didnt find the payoff/finish was good enough.

Last week i popped into a Lidl to have a nose around. I stopped at a hastily put up stand promoting the new range of Cien Cosmetics. I played with one of the lipsticks and also a tester lip gloss of the same shade. I bought them and wore them both today and i'm in love! I shall be going back to experiment with other shades in a week or two. I also want to play with the foundation too. All items are 1.99.

  • I didn't think I would like them either, I'm an Elemis/Aveda/Liz Earle girl, but I tried it in the feedback from here and I love it and the price makes it even better

i like the lip glosses and lipsticks, have the mascara and cant decide whether I like it or not but will keep using it for now might bot buy again.

I wanted to try the foundation but find the colour choices in my store are very light, even the darkest one I would just get away with if I am lucky in the winter

I am going to try some of their eyeshadows and see how I get on with those

The only make-up in my nearest Aldi store was the concealer pen. I wonder if they are re-packaging the whole range?

Now the concealer pen i like. I bought the lightest shade 'Cashmere' and it suits me perfectly. If i'm honest i'd like a little more shimmer but i will definately buy again.

The mascara i didnt rate and the blushers are too flat for me. Eyeshadows were too matte and the foundation didnt give me enough coverage. Face powder was ok though. The colours of the lipsticks didnt grab me either.

Been to Aldi today to stock up on concealer pens after reading on this thread that they were in short supply!! It appears that they are just repackaging product - there were plenty in my Aldi store today.
Also bought foundation to try and eye cream after reading good reviews on here - thankyou everyone.

Thanks Sandypan for the info , have tried 2 Aldi stores recently and no make-up in either , was hoping they weren't going to stop stocking the concealer pens. Just as good as Touche eclat and I had to economise since redundancy.

I love the Anti Ageing Serum. I got a 50% off coupon in the Mirror a couple of months ago, it cost me £1.75 !

Can I be cheeky and ask you for a review of the Aldi foundation? My really expensive foundation was discontinued and besides I'm on a budget now. Thanks, :A
