Sorry can 't post links on this thing but the ocado offer is on the front page of Mse.

I'm not being very frugal on the e-cigs..it's just sooo tempting to get the latest kit...cos they're updating the kit like all the time

So whilst I don't get full blown kit (mod box; batteries; cartos and juice) I do get wee bits and pieces and it soon adds up - just like last month

So yeah..praise God for the payment a day thread else NOTHING would get paid

Off to Mr M for 7.30/8 to see if there's any bargains to be had ...prayerfully there will be cos have only had porridge for tea :(

    Evening fellow frugallers:j

Spent the last couple of evening filling out an application form-I am so out of practice:o I am unlikely to get an interview for this one but it's a start and it's kept me away from my purse:D

Very little done on the frugal front as have been distracted by other goings on in my real life- my little spaving tip today would be that Waitrose essentials 500g butter is £1.89 which is a fair bit cheaper that either Mr S or Mr T's cheapest at £1.10 per 250g. I've got some to make a lemon drizzle cake and flapjacks at the weekend for the following week's packups.

listed a few thing on ebay made £6 which is better than nothing and like i told DP every penny counts just got to get a jar for it to go into as any money i make im going to put in a pot and hopefully not touch it till its quiet full then will pay into savings account. also going to get chickens next year hopefully which will save us a few quid. i brought a bread maker last year and have finally managed to get the bread just right so no more buying bread hopefully, i would also like to invest in a sewing machine eventually and learn how to sew ect. i do make cards rather than buying them. going to start on xmas cards soon, or may just buy a few packs from poundland. also once the garden in done i will be growing some fruit and veg which will also help cut costs. i dont buy washing powder i use eco balls :) that saves me a few quid..the next door neighbour brought some squash round earlier she brought it for her DP but he sadly passed away a few weeks. hope everyone is doing ok. ive been trying to convince DP to cancel sky but hes not shifting on the idea :( oh well will be saving money in other places,
does having chickens save money? assuming you want them for eggs only - a coop is about £100, I can't remember how much layers pellets are and they need grit. I'd love some hens but I suspect that on a small scale they actually cost more than they produce.

I've never kept them (would like to, but no room) but I'm told that below a certain number you need to pay for heating - over that number, they generate enough heat to keep themselves warm. Anybody out there know what the magic number is?

Oh, how lovely! Hope mother and kits are well. How many has she produced?

  • I've only got four and they were fine through the winter, snow and all. You need to remember that it isn't a kindness to buy a house with a roosting area bigger than they need as they like to huddle together at night and it keeps them warm.

    Morning peeps

We have five little babies in the house:j three silver/grey and white and two black and white. The two black and white look exactly like my 16 yr old, over the hills and snipped cat lol don't know how that happened:D

Mum is doing well, I left them well alone as they tell you to do and only been stroking mum. Well she got fed up last night of coming for a stroke and having to go back to the kittens so she decided to fetch them one at a time, jump on the sofa and put them next to me. I was a tad shocked lol. Can't wait for them to be playing around.:)
