I am watching ebay things being sold, I have 'made' £80 so far, I probably have made back what I spent though.
Feeling rather flat today, still waiting to know if I can still get disability allowance for my son, payments have stopped so we are £60 a week down, it is my fault for not putting in the claim earlier.
Things I should do include sorting out a lecki/gas supplier and doing some actual work. I feel too jittery to focus though.
One bit of potential good news is that I spoke to a PR person about earning some money from my website and she went and spoke to a friend - they think I could earn a reasonable amount selling advertising on it so I've been sorting out rates etc. If that works it would be a lifesaver!
Everything seems a bit hypothetical at the moment - DLA; maybe, money from advertising; maybe, moving house; maybe (I'm looking daily but there is nothing on the market). I feel in limbo and it's making me seize up with panic.

It's a horrible feeling, when you can't seem to get a grip on things, and I do sympathise. Have you pointed out to the DLA people that your son is suffering severe hardship, due to the withdrawal of funds, and that your case should be examined, as an emergency?

I phoned them today, it is on the judgement desk or something so it is being looked at. We really need the money but I can't say that he is suffering severe hardship, we have food, we are dry, he has shoes and a coat, our house is safe, no one is going to evict us....... If we don't get it I'll cut back more which as we all know is not easy.

Tumpty I wish there was something I could do for you.

Keep up with your ebay and ask if other people have things they don't want that you could put on to sell.

It would all be fine if I wasn't in panic mode and I could actually focus and get some work done!

listed a few thing on ebay made £6 which is better than nothing and like i told DP every penny counts just got to get a jar for it to go into as any money i make im going to put in a pot and hopefully not touch it till its quiet full then will pay into savings account. also going to get chickens next year hopefully which will save us a few quid. i brought a bread maker last year and have finally managed to get the bread just right so no more buying bread hopefully, i would also like to invest in a sewing machine eventually and learn how to sew ect. i do make cards rather than buying them. going to start on xmas cards soon, or may just buy a few packs from poundland. also once the garden in done i will be growing some fruit and veg which will also help cut costs. i dont buy washing powder i use eco balls :) that saves me a few quid..the next door neighbour brought some squash round earlier she brought it for her DP but he sadly passed away a few weeks. hope everyone is doing ok. ive been trying to convince DP to cancel sky but hes not shifting on the idea :( oh well will be saving money in other places,

Aha, that's what I have been doing wrong - finding them in the woopsie section! I need to find one that is not damaged, shop soiled or near his use by date :-)
:rotfl:Yup, maybe I need to start shopping somewhere like M&S! (or lurking anyway).

erme - keep up the good start with the cigs! You've done the "hard" bit....

can you believe it I'm now 5 days with 2 smokes :j....Happy dance time I think (despite the low air pressure) - springsmile.gif

Dread to think how much I've actually spent on e-cig past wee while and now I need to go to home bargains for a make up bag for the stuff for when I go away :p...just won't fit anywhere I don't think :(...unless I pick one up a la charity shop :D...but the stuff will last (once I STOP buying e-cig bits and bobs :rotfl:)....

:) thank you for the link, it's been bookmarked for later when I sit down with a cuppa ;)

Making a loaf later as we spoken last night about 'frittering' money away on bread. Can you believe that.... bread! I remember being ashamed of having bread and butter snack when I was a kid. A loaf of bread costs more than a pack of biscuits now :( So I'm baking.

:o I need to do some research into a good bread making recipe as my bread making attempts have been dire to date.

Last nights spag bol for lunch and fish finger sarnie for the little one with sweetcorn and tomato on the side.

:) going to look at the thread on here about weezl's menu's

oh, and do you all add your mortgage payment, rent to your challenge tally. I've included everything but noticed that the one's I've looked at haven't included that one. I suppose it's each to their own huh?

Have a good day everyone :)

    licious x

Basic recipes in a food processor =

    10oz of flour
    3tsp yeast (dried)
    1tsp salt
    1tbsp oil

Bung in food processor (or halve if like me you have a magimix le mini) and then like let rise for 2 hours (i use silcone loaf tins) and then put in oven for about 25 mins (can't remember the setting but at a guess it's medium hot)....

So yeah it's a horrid low pressure day and I have to go out and buy nicorette spray when I need extra nicorette (only had it just now cos was lethargic...barely craving it anymore :D)....

Hope the sun is shining SOMEWHERE...

    E
PS. My 'stuff to sell for a profit' off M came today (from china) so will put on eBay tomorrow..go for a wee treat (starbucks) and like do some baking for Dr. C :)

does having chickens save money? assuming you want them for eggs only - a coop is about £100, I can't remember how much layers pellets are and they need grit. I'd love some hens but I suspect that on a small scale they actually cost more than they produce.

OH has decided he will make the coop :rotfl:hes quiet good with DIY so it shouldnt fall apart very quick. tbh it proberly wont save us much money but i also want my LO to learn about where his food comes from so it will also be a great learning experiance for him hopefully.
