Haha! I've had to be super organised about some things. Took a week off work straight after Christmas and managed to sort the photographer, dress, honeymoon and a few other things. I'm not known for being organised and on time but I felt I really had to be!0 -
Dollymix- I am in love with an amazing pair of shoes, but at £245 they are £145 over budget!! OH won't let me have them! (ok- even I have to admit it seems crazy!!)
But they are soo gorgeous and fit too!
Pigs- I have absolutely no idea about hair!:T0 -

Yep my budget was £80 and my shoes were £150 ! They were behind a locked glass door in the shop, was really hoping they'd be uncomfortable and not fit properly... but of course they fitted like a glove. Spend most of last month cutting back to make up for them. Married 06/10/12 - Best day of my life0 -
hey everyone, not checked in for a while, glad to hear everyone's plans are coming along welljohannalf88 wrote: »I live over 100 miles away from mine. It can be very annoying! AGREED!!!
I've been off work for the past week on annual leave and went back home (same distance as johannalf88) to try and sort a few things out, meet with venue, etc. - went well and was lovely to see my side of the family for a couple of days.
also booked my videographer tonight so chuffed with that.
now I have all the details from the venue, I have finished designing my invites and started the labourious task of printing! I have decided to go with a chequebook style invite (god knows what I've let myself in for - lol) as I wanted to include lots of info for the out-of-towners. (Secretly I LOVE this kind of thing but trying to fit it around 2 jobs and looking after our family is getting a bit tiring...note to self: must delegate more!) will post pics when I've done one.
speaking of links, here are the centrepieces I'm having (hope it works!):
the lanterns represent the Welsh (me!) - I have battery operated tea lights (these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Light-Cup-LED-Yellow-Color-Flameless-Candle-Night-Switch-Control-Electronic-/310352950938?pt=UK_Candles&hash=item48427a369a#ht_5187wt_1037 ) - and want to put white roses in them/on them somehow (to represent the Yorkshire for OH)...any ideas greatly appreciated.0 -
oh and I've found my tiara - not bought yet but waiting for Debenhams to have a % event. it's more than I originally budgeted for but i saved on my shoes so this evens it out!!

Ooh those centre pieces will be lovely! I love the lantern idea- a different take on the bird cages, and personal to you! Ordered another usher present at the weekend- hopefully that will came this week.
Also made a spreadsheet with all the things I had left to do, subdivided up in to smaller bits... It scared me! The only whole thing I could tick off was the rings!!:T0 -
im scared of my spreadsheets atm so i have loads of little ones, i will make them a bigger one when more is done
just got back from giving notice (sneaky rest of the day off) and it wasnt too bad
didnt know i would have to re register the kids but its just another thing to add to the list lolThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
Nic Noc- TH96 for 20% off at debenhams home and fashion (don't know whether that is included???)
SHP2 for free delivery (can use both)
Don't know if they are any use to you?:T0 -
I have just emailed someone about my dress... whoop! In order to stop OH from seeing the emails, (he is working from home atm, and they all pop up on the iPad) I sent it from my new Mrs account! Shhh! I know I shouldn't have as I am not Mrs yet!!!
In case anyone thinks I am crazy, I set it up early as I couldn't have my current "name.surname@email.com" and its not exactly common name!! So I thought I would get in there before someone else snapped it up!
Alsoas I had a quick peek on eBay, and a) my dress is up for £750, and b) that dress happens to be altered very similarly to the way I want mine altered! That means it can be done!! :T The price may not be cause for celebration, but at least it can be done!
Also sold a couple of things on eBay, so the next Usher gift I buy will effectively be free!! Yay! :j:T0 -
ooooo any info on the dress jo?
still 8 months to go and you have your new email lol are you using it for anything other than hiding stuff from OH?
i really need to put some stuff on ebay i just can never be bothered
i paid for the invites tonight and it wasnt too painful
and have been baby shopping for my friend and its distracting me from wedding planning and making me broody againThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50
