It's weird that you have to do immigration interviews... Very weird! :rotfl:

Another gift brought that we can tick off the list:

And we have the Ushers gifts chosen, just need to get them them. Also going to get Dads Father of bride/groom pint glasses. Didn't know what to get mums, but then had a brain wave.... MiL2b is a huge tea fan, so was thinking of getting a personalised tea pot. Then remembered there is a cafe in Greenwich in which you can paint your own! So OH and I are going to do a tea pot for his mum, and something else for my mum.
so now I have all the gift ideas sorted!

Oh and I went to boots yesterday... I exchanged an old mascara for a new Clinique one (thanks MSE for that tip!) :money: I was at the clinique counter (I wanted to try the foundation again and take some pics outside) and the benefits woman was helping out as there was no Clinique. She gave me a little sample to take home to try, because she doesn't work for them, so doesn't care! (her words!):T0

Hi all... Booked the registrar ages ago (I think last June) but never received anything to confirm. This has only occurred to me now.
Was I supposed to receive something in the post? Also, do you already know who the person doing the ceremony is? I see every now and then people writing about meeting their registrar but haven't had anything like this.... Can some knowledgeable person help me out please! xx0 -
Damn it! Third time lucky! (I have written versions of this twice!!)
Gist is- I got an info pack which confirmed my booking, and said I needed to book a ceremony apt at least 17 days before. You go through the legal requirements (choose out of three options) and choose any 'extras' you want (words when exchanging rings, love, honour, obey etc). I won't be saying that bit!!!:rotfl:
You might want to phone your registrars, and ask for a pack to be sent out, and for them to confirm- just in case.:T0 -
Thanks johanna! I had a feeling we should have received something... I'll call them this week and make sure everything is ok.0
