I need to measure my BM's this week to order their dresses, also need to get them into town to find shoes. Managed to get the other part of their presents at the weekend, so they'll be arriving later this week. Paid the deposit for the exploding balloon we're having for the first dance and sampled the wedding cake, I think we're definitely going for the M&S cakes to save MIL2B baking it. Also got part of OH's present, its hiding in my wardrobe now!0

glad everyone is doing well
someone said to me this morning 'its only 3 months away' now i'm scared I swear I still have like a year to get things done lolThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
I feel quite organised- I just think I am going to have to do some delegating. This weekend is the last time we r both home before the wedding, n I just don't think we will get all the bits done.
I think I am going to ask my mum to sort to the glasses, and my dad to order the beer! That will be one less thing to try and fit in...:T0 -
I can't believe its coming round so soon, I thought I would be so much more organised than this - I remember saying to my mum that I wanted everything done by July, and I'm still organising things! Need to get the last invites written out tomorrow night, ready to post once I get addresses, then decide the final evening guest list so I can get those invites sorted.0

We have our Priestess (and Priest!) for our handfasting ceremony !! After contacting 3 I found, 2 came forward and we chose a lovely lady who is a dedicated Druid Priestess. Her ceremonies are beautiful. Good job really as we still heard literally nothing from the original guy who said he would help.
Bit of a chink in the plans in that OH's mum has gone a bit....odd over us having a handfasting. She thinks it is a load of rubbish (her words, amongst others) and that we should just have a registry office, quick meal and basically get on with life. We have been very sensitive and shown her information and she refuses to understand. We have explained that pagan ceremonies are now often 'accepted' christian ones (ie Christmas and Harvest Festival!) but she has become very stubborn to the point of she might sit in a corner inside whilst it goes on outside. This saddens me as she has been so lovely, it is a very strange turn of events.
Anyway.....it will work out.
My Mum sent me a text asking about ribbon colour for our invitations today so seems she is cracking on with them
I have decorated my registry crown and might add a few more bits to it.
I have had a bit of an inspired idea for my registry flowers...the wire bouquet really isn't me and we recently went to Venice. I LOVE the masquerade masks (used to have some on the wall many years ago) and I have ordered one to co-ordinate with my outfit along with some feathers and I am going to have a Venetial handheld decorated mask instead of flowers
I still don't know about the handfasting for flowers....I might go for dried flowers still, or some ribboned lavender or wheat.....still time to consider that.
Really need to get my dresses in to be shortened. Might take them in tomorrow as I'm in work.
3 months and 5 days!!!! :eek::rotfl::j:j:j"Stay Wonky":D

That's a shame about your OHs mum. A lot of the Christian festivals were re-arrange to coincide with the Pagan ones during Roman times, all so that both could be celebrated with very little effort. That's such a shame, as an atheist I often feel that my "lack of faith" holds less respect than any religious person, so I can sympathise about that. We had to do a diversity course at work the other day, it didn't cover atheism or pagans! And we wonder why there tends to be a lack of respect! (sorry- off topic!):T0
