Right click on the file, then press Run as Administrator
Alternatively hold down CTRL and SHIFT while you load it.
See this guide if you have any trouble:

How did you manage with the steps? It'd be useful if you did them one by one, and let me know otherwise I don't know which things you've skipped or why

Good point, lucky you were paying attention unlike me
Andy, re-run Malwarebytes but only do a quick scan, and make sure you remove things as it advises!0 -

I must be doing something wrong as I can't open as admin, there is just no option there.
Just re-run malware and is showing no threats now.

I may be wrong, and I often am
, but it looks like you might have posted your last MBAM log before you fixed, but I have just booted into ubuntu so I can't check that out at the mo, plus my lappy has no infected files on it , my only "infected" machine will wake the OH up and we don't want to go there. I will wait to see what Russ says cos he knows more than me, (I know not diff is it). I notice that you have XP sp2 not a good idea you should be on SP3 , but let's see if the guys can clean you up first, and I would recommend that you change from AVG to either Avast,Avira or MSE but that is also for later. Good luck ... 4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -

I am running the trial AVG computer man installed, but intend to get rid when it runs out. It hasn't done a good job, has it? Just got rid of a virus I was lumbered with for ages, cost an arm and leg to have re-install
I fixed before I posted, but then cleaned up with CC.
