    Happy 30th Birthday fixx
UU- Tesco Vitamin E toner- WIBA Yes but there doesn't seem to be much of a rnage in my Local at the moment so wondering if theyve discontinued it like my fav meat free burgers:(

Which ones were those? I used to buy burgers with apple in from tesco's that were gorgeous, but seem to be discontinued now.

I hate Tesco's own brand quorn mince - the texture is awful :(

Pudsey, my DH was like that with mothers day in previous years because usually it is nearer my birthday and no-one can be bothered to get me anything after shopping for that. This year they made up for it and got me loads, really I only want a little bit of something that the kids have picked out.

Glad you were spoilt this year. Maybe its the same for me as my Birthday is in March too. I love the card and poem from ds but wouldve appreciated a card from all of them too and a simple plant or bunch of flowers to brighten up the kitchen as the ones I got for my birthday have all died off now.

Make room on the naughty step......................received some ebay parcels today and amongst them was a bottle of Moringa body milk...which I didnt need, but smells so gorgeous :p and at such a bargain price I couldnt resist :D

Also received Elle MacPherson foot cream via ebay which I kind of needed as my current foot cream has been squished for the past week trying to get the last dregs out. Not sure about the smell tbh as it smells very different from the hand cream and body butter which are divine, but maybe it'll grow on me.

Hello all! Hugs to everyone who needs or wants them and welcome to any new joiners :)

Been so busy, cleared out most of the things, but I seem to have a lot of stuff  I hate mice :( I haven't caught one, but I can't keep sleeping at sister's so moved back into room :( I just hope it doesn't decide to share my bed :eek:

    UUs:
Lush Avobath ballistic. WIBA? I think so. It was nice but I do tend to find some of the ballistics a bit underwhelming
I think I might be forgetting one - or maybe it's just wishful thinking that I'm forgetting one :rotfl:

    INs:
    Lush Dragon's Egg Ballistic
Collection 2000 Hotlooks Polish in Teeny Bikini
(Both courtesy of my nieces & nephew for mother's day :))

xoxo - that's great first steps. Hope you stay strong!

pudsey - my BIL is the same. That's why I always take my nieces & nephew shopping so that my sister gets something at least :T

Havent posted for a few days, but just managed to catch up on all the goss :D

Well mother's day was a disappointment :( cos dp couldnt be bothered to sort out a card, flowers or anything. How are the kids meant to buy anything unless he helps them?? Had a go at him in the car and told him not to expect anything for Father's Day!

Luckily ds (7yrs) made a card and lovely poem at school or I'd have had nowt. The girls are at high school now so they dont do anything there now.

This sounds like my mother's day PudseyDB. I didn't get a present as DH was too busy to get me anything:mad: but at least the kids made a card each at school and we went to a nice cafe in the afternoon ( had a mocha and some raspberry cheesecake) to make up for it. Don't feel guilty now about getting the Daily Mail TBS BB offer!

One UU Decleor aroma night cream 15ml - WNBA as I am not going to buy expensive skincare anymore (not sure it is worth the money anyway) avoiding QVC and all beauty TSV's:A

2nd UU was my Insolence body lotion that came in the gift set with the perfume, my all time favourite perfume..

I love the Insolence perfume -currently using the Guerlain Idylle and that is really nice too. Generally, I think the Guerlain perfumes are underrated.

Just had the first of three valuations on the house. Lived here nearly 12 years and moving house will be stressful but necessary especially for DH who needs to cut down his travelling time to work. Just hope we will be able to sell it! Need to save, save, save so I'm not going to buy any toiletries until after we move and I'm sure all this will motivate me to keep to this challenge!

Just going to check how my ebay selling is getting on ... bye for now!

EH, wow, that was super quick! Thanks so much for the links. I don't know that we would go for the Norfolk one as it's 5 hours away from us (we're in Weston super mare) which is obviously a LOT of fuel! Perhaps when heading to Lincoln to see DH's mate/ DS's godfather. Could even get tem to drive down to that site from RAF Waddington.
I lurve the look of that site in Cornwall. I'm not sure what sold it to me more, the fact that it says there's no booking office, just turn up and pitch tent and they'll collect fees that evening or the next morning or the fact that the booking page says you can email bookings as a member of the family has email and will pass the message on. OMG, I am almost in heaven already and am bookmarking that site to visit with the family this year. I will also tell the neighbours because it is dog friendly and they have a pooch.
    You're grand, ta muchly :D

Oh, and no UU's or ins so I'm awfully sorry for the OT posts! DH bought me a pinny for mothers day though, just gotta wait for it to arrive :D:D he knows me too well :D

Never mind OT - just think how many mini-sized toiletries we can all use up on camping trips! LOL! Magor is LOVELY - by far the nicest site we've visited I think. The wash-blocks are a bit basic (clean, but spider webs etc) and very much in a 1950's style, but it is, to me at any rate, just what a proper old fashioned campsite should be. I really hope you get there - don't forget to tell me what you think! We'll be down there at the end of May. :T

I too like camping but unfortunately OH doesn't. I have considered investing in a better tent to make it more comfortable but it might be a waste if he still doesn't like it.

I was very pleased to have my first UU yesterday morning :jbut then had a small accident (partially related to my stash!) and ended up in A&E with a cut finger. This is going to slow my UU progress because I'm only going to have 1.5 hands for the rest of the week!

You need to find out exactly why he doesn't like it. If it's the "roughing it" aspect then a degree of "Glam-ping" might help. If it's being uncomfortable in a sleeping bag (apparently surprisingly common for chaps due to height etc) then consider trying to get him an XL bag, or work out sleeping with blow up mattress, sheets and duvet etc.

What on earth did you do to your finger then?! I hope this isn't another stanley knife incident?!

We started camping last year and have an outwell montana 6. Fab tent but it did get damaged last august in a storm on a cliff in Whitby. I had to get the sewing machine out in the garden and fix up best as i could, think easter will be it's first outing so we will see.

One problem we have with camping is other campers who turn up and pitch several tents together and then get pi**ed, and shout and swear half the night. We have had a few confrontations in the early hours and the first time we have one this year we are packing it in and selling all our stuff. We have 5 & 7 year old kids and they stay up lateish but are ready for bed for 9.30, we choose sites which say quiet time from 10pm or thereabouts but only one site we go to enforces it, not that they really need to because it's great. This site is Hayfield C&C in Hayfield, Derbyshire.

Any other campers find that too?

Oh - was that THE storms last august that everyone on UK Campsite was talking about? That sounded truly horrendous, and if so I think a lot of sites just emptied out didn't they as people's gear got too badly damaged to stay.

I know what you mean about curfews being ignored. If a site bills itself as a monitored, family friendly site with 24 hour warden then that same 24hr warden should be prepared to make regular checks and tell people to shut up. If the site doesn't have a warden, to an extent I think you have to expect that you might have issues if people do kick off as generally nobody feels comfortable asking them to hush down, do they. We've been pretty lucky until now - although two chaps did decided to get drunk and have a fight on a site we were on down on the South coast last summer. That was a bit hairy! I felt sorry for those with kids - at least one family got the kids up and sat in the car because it was all happening right next door to their pitch and they were worried what might happen!

Started my CW Results shampoo this morning to go with the conditioner that was already open. So far, seems really nice, although I've not done the straightening yet. My Moringa BB won't do another full application I don't think, so I have got out a small tub of Sanctuary Mande Souffle to continue with. Can't believe how many gaps there are appearing in the bathroom cabinet now! :D

Yep EH it was that storm, very, very scary trying to hold down a massive tent, just 2 of us, each time a peg came out the tent ripped, the site we were on is windy at the best of times but what annoyed me the most was that the owners know that and if they planted some hedges to act as windbreaks peoples equipment might be spared to some degree. I was in bits, shaking and terrified.

i got a uu yay superdrug strawberry and raspberry shower gel, smells amazing so i would buy again, i dont think i put this on my list as we go though shower gels very quick (well the OH does!)

    Kaz
    im loving the pinny

i was planning on painting my nails tonight but instead ive lent them to my neighbour so she can have nice nails for a date tomorrow,
    :)

eta has anyone got tips on opening a nail polish that will not open! the lids stuck fast, ive tried wrapping a cotton pad soaked in nail polish remover with no luck, thanks in advance x

Run the top of the bottle/lid under the hot tap for two or three minutes - it should then open easily. Clean round the top of the bottle before putting the lid back on though.

herve leger femme perfume (from avon) couldnt wait to finish this until about a week ago when people started saying how nice my perfume was/i smelled nice etc seriously had about 8 different people in a week. not sure if avon still do this best i dont check...
the body lotion that goes with it. smelled nice, seriously tempted to get :P
milk pigment-from mac cosmetics.a nice shimmer lilac shade .grown rather attached to it but proved i could finish a pigment sample :)

Yes, Herve Leger is still available so far as I know - it's not always in the book though as they circulate the perfumes as there are too many to put them all in the book each time.

I've been invited to an Avon party on Thursday. I will be good ;)

Really? Do you think so?! :rotfl:

Pudsey your poor daughter! Hope her finger is better now? What a rotten few days you had!

Sarah Step AWAY from the BS sale! :p

Bev fingers crossed for the house sale, and Charlie I hope the dissertation is going well? Remember, it will all be worth it for the end result.

Belated happy Birthday Fixx - sounds like you had a great weekend so looking forward to seeing your list of IN's!

Assett that fall sounds nasty - hope you've not done too much damage?

Scappie dementia is horrible - you and your family have my sympathy. Glad that at least there is now a diagnosis as there are some treatments that will help your Grandad, plus hopefully also it might be that some form of respite can be managed for your Nan maybe even if just half a day a week - just long enough to give her some "me time" without worrying about him.

On catching up on the posts that April is turning out be be a more accident prone month for some of us judging by the amount of bumps, fall, cuts and trips to A & E!! Hope you are all healing well :)

That is a fabulous apron Kaz.

Scrappie - It seems to take ages in getting any kind of diagnosis on dementia. On average it takes two years to get that diagnosis confirmed. It can be really frustrating when you and your family know what is happening but the professionals drag their heels. At least now the medical support will now be available to help support your family through this.

Charlie - Sorry to hear your OH is making you feel rotten. Get stuck into the dissertation and once you're out the other end of that you may have some clarity on your situation. Feel free to rant on here anytime.

Yesterday I had a mini pamper session. I decided to try Kaz's idea and put on a face mask and continued with the house work. After hovering I popped outside onto my balcony to check on my washing then remembered I had a white face and quickly dashed inside. Think I got away with it

Also PYON last night with my lovely new Nails Inc Charlotte Street which is a lovely pale grey shade.

I even got my camera out to finally post a pic but I can't find the connection lead

It truly is terrifying isn't it :(. Ours was the year before that IIRC. DD woke up for the loo and couldn't believe me when I said that none of us could go outside as it wasn't safe. She had to go in the washing up bowl . She looked horrified. DS was 5 at the time and slept through the whole thing :rotfl:.
Someone said to me that with the tunnel tents, if it becomes very windy, drop the guy ropes and move everyone/ thing away from the front. The front will just flip in then (which is what ours did- unfortunately, it brained me in the process).
Not had time to do the pics yet, hopefully later on. I'll start after I've collected the kids.
I gave DH one of the new Radox shower smoothies last night. He said "Am I supposed to wash with it or drink it? :rotfl:"
