Oh Trudi! What DO they want??? ... Mind you, I think my son falls in to the same sort of category, I was about to expand a lot further but realised my nic makes him very identifiable, so I'll shut up.
I didn't get the free BS butter, did think about it but I wanted to support my town centre shops yesterday, I try and do so as much as possible. We have Hitachi coming in a few years with a massive new factory so hopefully we will get some new shops too.
I am kinda hopeful that the high costs of petrol and parking will bring a renaissance of town centre shopping. Our town has free parking and we don't do too badly.
For toiletries we don't have Lush or BS but we do have Savers, Superdrug, Boots, Wilkinsons, a pharmacy, Poundstretcher and Boyes, which is a North of England small scale department store that sells the sort of thing you didn't think they made any more. It's where you would be likely to find bath salts and bath cubes, hairnets and setting lotion, home perms, gift sets with talc in and brands you thought had disappeared years ago. I love rummaging round in there, it's wonderfully nostalgic.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Afternoon all and happy mothers day! I have pampered myself this morning with a No7 Sauna face mask that wouldnt wash off! I had to get a flannel and scrub it, not sure if the whole tube is going to be like that! Curled my hair and even stuck a couple of lash extensions on that I bought donkeys ago and never used!
Yesterday I did get some INs went to the BS and got the BB coconut one, and got some of their shampoo and conditioner with hair butter as it was on a deal to try to see how my scalp copes with that. Went to B**ts and got some Sanctuary hot cloth polish cleanser and a free pamper kit! Also got a free sample of the new perfume Aura from Swarkovski (sp?) not sure I like it but the bottle it pretty impressive!
I treated myself as on the 1st April I had given up smoking for 3 months so figured I deserved it!
UU's so far this month are Dove Intensive conditioner sample size WNBA - I wouldnt call this intensive!
Sanex deo roll on - WIBA yes but have a couple of Mitchums in the cupboard.
John Frieda Blonde hair cream - WIBA maybe but got another in the stash already - these were a pressie xmas before last!0 -
no UUs to report yet, but thankfully no INs to report either
I'm trying to make my products last as well to save some pennies
would really love to get somewhere with my house deposit savings & car savings eek! x

We've just got a Boyes in our local small town, it's a funny place, sells a bit of everything, seems to be lots of people in and out of the place too. I nearly always shop on the high street and try to support one off, independent retailers too but have found in some instances their CS is lacking, for example we have a bike shop quite nearby and when I wanted to replace my DD's bike I called in for a chat and he was vile. He tried to make me feel really bad for having previously purchased in Toysrus and said the frame sizes I was asking for were nonsense. Just because we don't cycle lands end to J O Groats every week he seemed to think we weren't worthy to shop there. Some could learn a lot from the big boys.
Trudi, hope he decides what he wants soon, in the meantime I would say just enjoy yourselfThe devil makes works for idle hands0 -

Oh, I love Boyes! I remember going in there when I was a student in York. It had lots of haberdashery stuff too I remember.
Getting all nostalgic for York now. It's funny, I never ever get homesick for my actual home in the North East but just now on the train passing York I had this massive urge to get out and stay there and never leave! I still miss it quite a lot and I also miss Sheffield loads (where I lived last year).
Another IN to report - Ghost Deep Night body lotion. It came with the Deep Night fragrance I bought. I'm not counting perfumes in the challenge as I don't actually have that many, but I am counting body lotions! Luckily it's quite small!
Was wondering, do any of you write for Dooyoo or Ciao? They're websites where you can review anything and everything including toiletries and make money from the reviews. If you're using them anyway you may as well make some money out of it!Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225

PS trudij - i'm no expert but I reckon he wouldn't have been so honest with you. If he didn't care about you. I reckon it sounds like a good thing in the long run.Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225

Ive decided to think of him as a piece of whole body gym equipment for the moment
but its not that easy really is it.... !!!!
:rotfl:I like your attitude - it's pants when they are all over the place isn't itmcculloch29 wrote: ».....and Boyes, which is a North of England small scale department store that sells the sort of thing you didn't think they made any more. I love Boyes - They've recently opened one in Melton Mowbray near my MIL and that's the furthest south i've ever seen one - I haven't been to that one but always make sure I pop into one when I visit my mumAlton_Towers wrote: »I treated myself as on the 1st April I had given up smoking for 3 months so figured I deserved it!
