It wasn't a glitch - there used to be a link next to the greyed out stars for p&p cost that said something like you can override the default 5* if you wish. Might not be there anymore.

I had never seen that nor heard it mentioned.

Yes, I know. That is why I offer it.

But if you read what I said, I said it would make it a more level playing field. I pay FVFs on my P&P, so it would be advantageous to me if everyone did, or if they scrapped it completely.

Well, I also read what you said. To feel penalised by offering a service which is entirely voluntary doesn't make sense.

    So to summarise this thread:
    1. final value fees on postage may be being introduced in the US but there has been no announcement in the UK.

    2. Some people don't like paying for stuff.

    3. Ebay charge for stuff.

    4. Something about DSRs.

OK I think that was it.

Buyers won't be able to change the automatic 5 star rating.

Spending too much time on ebay has addled my brain! :o

Why are you reporting people? Are they paying you for your reports? Can't you leave the guy alone if your not buying his dvd's? That is spiteful to go round reporting people.

I report people who break the rules as Ebay request, my choice, if I'm spiteful so be it...but its got naff all to do with you.

there's a seller on ebay who lists all his footie dvds as "Sporting Memorabilia so he can charge £3.79 postage for them rather than the ebay flat rate for dvds. I've reported it to ebay several times and they've done nothing...seems they aren't interested unless they are losing money

Have you ever sold any DVDs on ebay?? More so, have you ever posted them? I had a triple disc DVD. Yet could only charge £2 for recorded delivery. It cost me £3 something. Even a single DVD can push at £2 depending on weight. The postage pricing system is rubbish!! And the fact that ebay have taken our right as sellers to leave negative feedback is a joke. Buyer took 10 days to pay, I posted item day after payment, they left me negative and said I took too long to post! Couldn't do anything!!!
    Thanks to all posters :A
