It's an internal webcam on the laptop.

In Device Manager under Imaging Devices there are 3 listed - BisonCam NB Pro, Integrated camera and USB2.0 PC and I've disabled all three as instructed. They are now there with a red cross through the camera icon. What do I need to do next?

The laptop is much faster than it was. What do I need to do about the 'bloat' that's on it?

Hi, a response to the above would be very much appreciated. Thank you

enable the bison cam and test

    uninstall registry booster, toolbars,

    run startuplite, install cleanmem.

tick and fix all the O16's in hijackthis

    reset IE to defaults.

Hi, do I enable the bison cam and test in device manager?

(I think I'll just try and sort out the webcam first and then follow the rest of your post.)

    Thanks

I've enabled the camera in device manager and then tried using it in Skype but all that's there is the grey screen again. Was there anything else that I should have done? Thank you

If it has a recovery partition, you could backup your data to an external drive or dvd's, and do a factory restore, to kill two birds with one stone (hold down blue button and boot). It will wipe all data, so check your backups are ok first.

Inside the skype settings, the correct camera is selected?

Strange that you appear to have a usb camera installed

When you click my computer what is listed under 'scanners and camera's'.

Sounds like maybe some other application has the webcam open.
At the moment just BisonCam NB Pro. But there were 3 listed - BisonCam NB Pro, Integrated camera and USB2.0 PC and I disabled all three as instructed in a previous post. I then just enabled the BisonCam - should I have enabled all 3?

I would try enabling them individually, the integrated one sounds like the built in webcam, no idea where the others come from.
Thanks, I will try that now. (Ignore my previous post as I hadn't read this one I sent it!)

I don't understand why you have 3 listed, I only have one listed.

Are you connected to a scanner/printer?

No, not conected to a scanner/printer.

I've just disabled the Bison Cam and enabled the intergrated camera but when I try and use it through Skype it states 'Can't detect webcam'.
