Hi guys, I must confess that I didn't keep tally in March, although I think it would have been pretty good so I'm not too worried. I'm back to join in again though if that's ok? I'm going to try for a stonking 20 this month please..
I think that the collective noun for Nsd's should be a HURRAH OF NSDs, although I'm looking forward to what other people think up......
Take it easy and I promise to check in more regularly this month.0 -
Oops, forgot to add that I'm on 3 and counting.......0

Well we had a lovely day out, my niece enjoyed her birthday. I'm a bit in the dumps as my git of an uncle decided to completely humiliate us in front of everyone.I.e people we don't know, by very loudly shouting "You've forgotten your big issues!!!" my reply, "i couldn't be bothered carrying them today, oh i see you got your clothes out of the bin today, well done" He's such a codhead, just made me feel so low. Worst thing is i'm the one looking respectable, he turns up in mucky joggers and swearing . So annoying.
Anways after that rant i can successfully say that i've had two nsd's in a rowso my total so far is 2/10
Roll on tomorrow!0 -

Guys, what can I say?!
Such amazing efforts from everyone. Well done to those who've managed a NSD on what is both a weekend and for many a pay-weekend.
Well done as well to those of you who have tried but for whom life has got in the way and stopped you being able to declare a NSD.
Keep up the good work everyone and may we all get a NSD very soon!
BDINI will be along on Monday to update the front page.

Checking in with NSD #1 :T
Had a great afternoon, as the dog and I went out to meet a chap for a walk
Ended up walking for about 2.5 hours, but the heavens opened after about an hour and we were all soaked to the skin - but all bar my feet were dry again by the end (soooooo glad I went in my running gear which dries out very quickly, rather than giving in to the feeling I should change my normal dog walking attire for jeans)
He then asked if I wanted to go somewhere for something to eat, and when I pointed out that having the dog with me would make that problematic (as I won't leave him in the car) he said he knew of a pub that has tables outside though it meant a bit of a drive (he doesn't drive, so had used public transport to get to the meeting point - so no issues over what to do in terms of transport).
The staff were stunned to have serve a meal outdoors (it started trying to rain on us a couple of times while we were there), and it was a tad chilly - but he didn't seem to mind. And the food was fantastic (I had lasagne with garlic ciabatta bread - but his homemade steak pie with suet crust looked very good too)
We left just before the heavens opened again, and I dropped him at the end of his street (which was en-route to the motorway) before heading home.
No definite plans yet as to where/when, but we're going to meet again (minus the mutt)
Shouldn't really (in my eyes) have been an NSD, as parked the car on a Pay&Display - but he shot off to get a ticket almost before I was even out of the car, and left me to deal with getting the dog ready. And I didn't even get inside the pub, so no chance to pay for drinks or towards the meal. Whilst I appreciate him being a gent, I'll have to make it clear next time that I'm not actually comfortable with someone paying for absolutely everything (especially not in the early days)Cheryl0 -
