Avoiding the shops in April - The NSD Challenge

Afternoon all! Well last night was lovely, though did get stung for the meal a bit - I didn't order starters (just had some ciabatta bread instead for £2.50) had a £7.25 main (it was the cheapest but was what I fancied) and ok, dessert was £5.25. That totals £15. However, we ended up splitting the bill, which meant me putting in £23...meaning the glass of wine I had cost £8  After all the advise I give out, I really should start speaking up a bit more myself. Still, my friend - who was the b'day girl did treat us all to cocktails in a bar, which were quite expensive so I can't/shouldn't complain. Ended up getting the train there and back (left at a reasonable time) rather than taxi all the way home that OH wanted me to get 'lone lady on here way home etc etc' but frankly, there were more people at the train station and on the train than me sitting in a taxi on my own, plus I'd've had to walk to the station anyway to get a taxi all the way home. Then when I got in, OH gave me the £ for the taxi from the station to home, which was lovely. So not too much of spendy night.
Today hasn't been spendy so far, but thinking of popping to HB as I have a 15% off voucher.
Bit of action here this afternoon - the cat managed to charge through the patio door (which was open) complete with brown field mouse...very much ALIVE!! cue me trying to separate the two of them, OH looking very confused about what was going on, and lots of trying to catch said mouse which ultimately legged it behind the washing machine - although not before nipping my finger when I NEARLY got the little blighter. I am hoping that he/she will find their way out as the washing machine sits by an outside wall - is this likely? It's deff a brown field mouse rather than a grey house mouse so I'm assuming it would want to find it's way back out??
Also some good news, my eBay claim has now been closed for that seller who went quiet on me after I returned those dresses. It got escalated to a Paypal claim (rather than person to person resolution) and her deadline passed last night to respond. Got an email from Paypal this morning to say they had ruled in my favour, and upon checking my account, the funds were already back in it :j I didn't think it would be resolved quite so soon, and was retisant they would find in my favour so a nice little surprise.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

But it has helped the muscle build up in my leg.
So i'm a bit undecided about what to do as i'm planning to go swimming at least once a week, although its money i don't have but i need the exercise. As
a) its way of expanding my lung capacity (my asthma's getting worse)
b) its another exercise to get my leg up and running again (its been 10 months now since i broke it and i'm sick now)
c) snips (ds2) is learning how to swim
d) i've forgotten how to swim
Kezlou - swimming is deffinately the best way to exercise so it is an essential in my eyes, try looking around to see if a further away swimming pool offers free parking or deals to buy a pack of 10 sessions that type of thing, and think if ur going 4+ times a month, is that cheaper than a membership.
I am checking in for NSD no2 today. I know its early but i am not leaving the house today, feeling very lethargic after to much time at the gym myself. So staying in refueling and not spending a penny, well needed aswel. Even though I haven't done this challenge for a while I still recognize some familiar names on here.
keep up the good work everyone and keep the tips coming.:rotfl:0 -
