    Debt-free and Proud!
    Good morning everyone!

Yesterday was a spend day for me, as I popped into H0meb@se to use my 15% off voucher to buy something I need and have had my eye on; plus I did a big food shop, so hopefuly with the cupboards full, I should rack up a few NSDs in a row. fingers_crossed.gif

kezlou - swimming is a great idea! I think you should definitely do it! Having been a teribble swimmer as a child, I signed up for weekly adult swimming lessons a few years ago and loved it! However, it's been far too long since I last went swimming - if I wasn't so unhealthly obsessed with becoming debt free, I'd definitely sign up again!

jinty - I hope you don't wrestle with your conscience for too long! (((hugs)))
Competition time - a flock of geese, a litter of puppies, but what is the collective noun for no-spend days?

And what shall we award as the prize for the best answer?
I think that the collective noun for Nsd's should be a HURRAH OF NSDs

twistedhaze gets my vote - I love it! :T

Have a good week everyone, and I hope the sun is shining where you are! sunshine-012.gif

Well I can declare a No Spend Weekend! We've been really busy doing things for our music group this weekend that we help run, concert prep, concert, web editing and meeting, so not a lot of chance to spend.

Have bought lunch in today and it's going to be a busy week so not a lot of chance for spending, possibly a couple of things on Thursday night but otherwise I'm wondering if I can get through the week, direct debits excluded, with no spending - need to do some baking when I finally get home tonight I think so I have some sweet snacks for work.

So 2 NSD for me please

Well we had a lovely day out, my niece enjoyed her birthday. I'm a bit in the dumps as my git of an uncle decided to completely humiliate us in front of everyone.I.e people we don't know, by very loudly shouting "You've forgotten your big issues!!!" my reply, "i couldn't be bothered carrying them today, oh i see you got your clothes out of the bin today, well done" He's such a codhead, just made me feel so low. Worst thing is i'm the one looking respectable, he turns up in mucky joggers and swearing . So annoying.

Anways after that rant i can successfully say that i've had two nsd's in a row :D so my total so far is 2/10

    Roll on tomorrow!

Aw hugs kezlou, some people eh? Don't let him get to you. I'm glad your neice enjoyed her birthday and you had a lovely time other than that. Someone in my family made a sarky comment about me last week saying "you know what Mrs Thrifty is like" and it has really been playing on my mind. I know she meant it spitefully but I'm trying to think, so what, being thrifty isn't a bad thing. Bah to mean spirited people :p

Thank you for adding me BDINI :A Saturday was NSD 1 for me, hopefully one tomorrow unless thats when the man comes to fit the oven!

  • My first nsd of the month. 1 NSD. Been a slow start but can get back on track now. Had fetch DD2 from nuresery they have no electric so had to finish work early and go and get her what a shame only joking couldn't wait to get out of there:D. Told OH had to get her and all he could say was i hope there not going to charge you didn't even cross my mind just happy to be leaving work. DD1 will be annoyed when she comes home and knows we have been home all day. Going to do my meal plan for the week and some other odd chores so not a waste and anyway i get to spend week day with DD2 which is a rare treat.:D

Not a NSD for me ... had to go to H*mebase to get a (humane) mouse trap. Seems kitty managed to catch it easily enough to bring it into the house, but judging by the mouse droppings round her bowl this morning, she's not so hot on re-catching the little blighter, and the furry critter doesn't seem as keen to leave as I'd hoped. So I'm £4.29 lighter in the wallet AND I could've got 15% off ysterday.....
