    Hi lovely gang:A

Just a quick whizz in to declare that I finished on 23 lovely NSDs, really pleased with that total bearing in mind all the birthdays I had to buy for during April, I must be getting organised in my old(er) age:D.

Will be back later for a catch up with the posts I've missed - I did spot that Keiss had left me a link to EL, I'll have a look later.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone, enjoy the sunshine:D

I think mine's still at my parents house - which shows how long since I made any (moved out of there in March 1987!)
I haven't done any lacemaking since my niece's christening in 2001. I made lace for the christening dress I made (I will be very wary of using silk again though...very slippery, both for the lace and smocking the dress bodice...a nightmare !).

Well done on your run yesterday :T:T
:j:j Keiss 21 – well done for 17, you reminded me of when I used to live in Nottingham & went to see their lace being made, such a delicate process & such beautiful lace, you are lucky to be skilled enough to make it yourself!
Haven't done it for ages (see above). I had lessons for over two years and loved it!! Now I have glasses, I shouldn't have a problem with the headaches that I was getting then :o.

Managed to nab NSD no 18 yesterday, so reached my second target, really chuffed! :j:j

Managed to add all my April receipts to my spending spreadsheet, and although spending was high-ish, it wasn't as bad as I'd feared. :)

Have started May with an NSD, so will hop over to the May thread now. See you all over there. Have a great weekend.

I'm in London. Easy access to the city.

I have one suit, but I have only ever worn this to work. The wedding is my bosses daughters, so my work colleagues will be there and it being a Pakistani affair I am invited to two events. So I don't need a tux just a suit would do.

Two different suits for two days. I was planning to buy two new suits from TM Lewin and then wear these suits to work. But I think that'll be stretching the financial purse. So rental sounds a better idea. Thanks I will post there shortly.

My brother lives in London and had to get a suit for a wedding, he used an online place and got a really nice suit for £40 or thereabouts, might be worth a look if you're still not sorted out.

    Hope this helps.
