Another update - the school will be selling 'chocolate treats' during the run up to Easter!
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

OP I really think you should encourage the initiative your DS has shown -good for him :) If there is a market then there is a business opportunity and he spotted it :T

When I was a kid oh so many years ago, rainbow crystals were the big craze. You could buy it by the quarter in a bag from the sweetie shop. Anyway my mate and I decided to make a bit of dosh by buying a bag of ordinary sugar and adding some lovely food colouring :rotfl: Made a bomb until the bright kids sussed what were doing :D

Maybe the school should encourage this business spirit rather than quosh it - maybe a day where they can bring in all the best bogof bargains they can find and sell them to all the poor kids not allowed anything with sugar in it;)

oh and after a childhood of rainbow crystals and our very own version I am pleased to say I still have all of my own teeth :p

Yeah...but what size are your hips? :rotfl:

Just kidding. :D There used to be a baker's van that came round our school at break time, I still remember the cream cakes even now. And I was a size 8-10 then! :D

I only got fat once I started dieting. :rotfl:

    Sorry OP, completely OT. :o

  • OMG..wetting myself loling at this thread. Total overreaction by some parents, and the Op's son.

I happen to know of a child who back in her primary school days used to charge the other kids 50p to watch her eat earthworms.

    I am still alive! (kinda!)

A girl in my class (last year in primary) used to show the boys her knickers for 50p and her bare bum for a pound. I kid you not. She used to go home loaded every day, at least until the Headmaster found out. :D

In your position, I would be subbing him to undercut the school. After all, it cannot be wrong to sell the same product as the school does.

I used to scratch off the 'C' from my pink 'Pill' tablets and sell them as... well... not The Pill.

I also used to sell ciggies (30p in my day).

In the grand scheme of things Pepsi is pretty tame.
