Can't see where you're getting the 1.61% from. Both the PRE and POST 27 June tables online show 1.59%, as does the letter that's been sent advising of the rate changes.

I copied and pasted the table for post 27 June earlier this month. Perhaps they corrected it. Thanks for checking.

I've just had a letter from Lloyds about the change in Vantage interest rates, but there was no mention of the 3% easy access account that you mention. Does your letter say that this is going to be for selected customers, or does it suggest that it'll be available generally?

The offer of 3% Incentive Saver account (fixed for 12 months) seems to be for those who have maintained £5000+ in their current a/c. Those who have been offered this a/c need to set it up between April 26 - July 31 by calling a free (!) phone line.

Think ill be putting mine into halifax ...... 3% web saver .. i know same rate but no messing about .... unless something else comes along. but think we have all done well to have this rate for so long and get away with it.

In our family we got two different letters from Lloyds today, one with details of the new offer and one without! Hard to see exactly why, but it seems the offer may not be open to everyone....

Same here - but the person who didn't receive the Incentive Saver account offer currently does maintain £7K in each but also has an Incentive Saver account (which has its anniversary in October). The one with the offer (available up to 31 July by the way) has only an eSave account not an Incentive Saver.

Me and Mrs KAR have 3 each with £7k always in. No offers... just the bad news for both of us!

I'll reciprocate and give Lloyds the bad news that £12k will be leaving on 27th June!

Bet they'll be biting their fingernails at that news......... ;)

Multiply it by a million other savers and it might add up.... to a small bucket of sand..... or one bankers bonus!!!

I've had 7 Vantage accounts with over £5,000 in for a couple of years, so that can't be the way they're selecting the customers to which they're offering this account. I'll give them a ring on Tuesday to see if they can fathom it out, I rang today but nobody knows how "Exclusive Customers" have been selected.

Just got my letter through today which is the first i'd heard of this. Poor news as it now means i've to look elsewhere.

At the moment i'm running a Santander (hush my mouth) eSaver account, which seems to be the best instant access account i can get as i've maxed out my ISA. I'll just have to dump all the money in there.
