just to add to this soolin.
i have been a member of ebay for 6 years now and i have 1401 feedback with 100% not even a nuetral to my name
i buy and sell thing on there so know how it all works.
you are wrongly assuming that i would make a habbit out of this but actually i made a mistake! you get me?
as soon as i had made the mistake i tried to rectify it but couldnt so emailed the seller straight away.now i know as a seller if someone had made me an offer on something before accepting it i would check there feedback, check for messages etc etc but the seller in question admits she didnt do any of that.
luckily for me the seller and i have come to an agreement on what to do as she is a reasonable human being who unlike you accepts that i made a mistake.
i had already made my mind up that i was just going to take a strike as i have perfect feedback so it would not of made any difference to me anyway.

thanks to everyone else who was trying to offer suguestions though its much appreciated.
its a shame there are some people on here who love to get on there high horse for the sake of it!!!!!!!!!

As I said earlier you had my complete sympathy right up to post 13, where you showed your true colours and considered the idea of threatening the seller with a neg if they made you honour your offer. At that point you became to me a buyer that ebay could do without.

Really, for imagining that my buyers understood what they were doing? I would have thought it good practice to assume that my buyers were good honest people, rather than assume they were not aware of what they were doing and had to have it double checked for them all the way through.

I treat my buyers with respect, I assume they have a good working knowledge of ebay and can read and accept the terms and conditions they have agreed to abide by. If I started believing that my buyers were somehow incapable and that any error on their part could result in a neg for me then I think I would seriously have to consider my position as a seller.

If you read my posts I have no issues at all about your mistake, we all make them. The issue I have is the fact that you were considering threatening the seller with a neg if they didn't do what you wanted.

just to set the record straight i have never threatened anyone in my life.
as i said peviously i had already decided to go with a strike the comment i made was a silly thing to say the idea would never of come into my head.
haveing said that i read posts on here all the time that i think are out of order but i dont feel the need to comment on all of them.

Just take the strike on the chin. Lesson learned hopesfully.
