Try message them again, this time say your willing to buy it but they are getting a negative for it, that might make them forget about it and re list.
Otherwise you will get a strike, but as long as you don't have 2 strikes you will be fine just don't jump the gun anytime more during the next 12 months - i think that is when they reset the strike on your account but i could be wrong.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
That is a good idea i think i will try that..thank you
Widelats suggestion would hopefully get you banned, leaving feedback merely to be malicious is not considered good trading practice, if seller reports your email to ebay then the neg will be removed and another bad buyer removed from ebay, and most of us on here would cheer.
If you think I am harsh then let me explain, you had my sympathy right up to the time you considered, even for a second, threateneing the seller with a neg. Honestly, think about it, what sort of person would honestly even consider it?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. OK leave the neg threat till last, but its always a option.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -

No it isn't as any threat of a neg would make it removable under ebay policy and that means a posisble suspension for the buyer. Lets not forget the seller isn't at fault here, the buyer is.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. maybe soolin is right, it may get you banned.
ok i would go with just not paying and get a strike, just try not to get any more, the seller was requested to reject it though so it is their fault too, would cost nothing to re list it.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -

The trouble with the system is that if the seller opted for a mutual cancellation and then the buyer decided he didn't want it but wouldnt agree to a mutual, the seller is stuck with paying the fees despite not having a sale.
The only safe way for a seller to get their money back (yes they have been charged for this) is to file a NPB.0 -

I agree and would go further and say I would think the majority of sellers would not risk a mutual on this. A buyer who can offer and then expect the seller to cancel isn't someone I would risk a mutual on. I would be going for a full NPB on this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. BIN will cost to relist & they will have paid to list it the first time round, they won't get this money back.
The seller may have accepted the offer before they saw the request to cancel message, it seems that a lot of messages don't get through.
The seller may consider someone who doesn't know whether they want to buy someone as being incapable of accepting a mutual cancellation & they will then have to pay FVF. So all in all a costly mistake for the seller.
If you get messed around a lot by buyers then some sellers tend to come down tough on everyone.0 -
I would just take the strike then. Maybe send a apology too to the seller.Owed out = lots. :cool:0
