Did you buy it now or make the offer, sorry I am a little confused by what you say.

If you did a buy it now, then no you cannot retract. All you can do is plead with the seller to offer a mutual cancellation so that the seller can be reimbursed their fees.

I don't have offers on my listings and have never bought using one, so cannot help with how to retract on an offer, sorry.

i then won the other item so emailed the seller to say please do not accept the offer as i have just won one in another auction.
sent the email 5 hours before they accepted my offer but they still accepted it!

Oh that is unfortunate, you now face the dilemna of paying and having two items or refusing to pay and getting a strike.

It really is best to only try and buy one thing at a time, as going for two can mean you buy two.

If you get two strikes, you can more or less bid for nothing. Most sellers default settings are to block buyers with 2 or more strikes in 12 months.

Why on earth would you make an offer that you didn't think would be accepted?
Maybe your cheeky offer annoyed the seller and they checked out what else you'd bid on saw that you'd bought the same thing elsewhere & accepted to p you off.
They can go through a NPB claim, which unless you pay they will win, get one more & there will be loads of items you will have banned yourself from buying.

Try message them again, this time say your willing to buy it but they are getting a negative for it, that might make them forget about it and re list.

Otherwise you will get a strike, but as long as you don't have 2 strikes you will be fine just don't jump the gun anytime more during the next 12 months - i think that is when they reset the strike on your account but i could be wrong.
    Owed out = lots.
