Loan arranged with my stolen debit card details!

I think you should go to the police, this is fraud and as you have lost out financially they will investigate.
If you had found out about the loan through pwk but stopped any payments coming out then they would not investigate as you have not suffered a loss.

Sorry but somehow I don't think any loan can be arranged using a stolen card, certainly not with a reputable high street lender. Methinks, OP had a loan with these guys, felt regret, and so wanted to close it....:p
surely documentation would be sent to you by now with the loan details, T&C etc If so, what name was this loan taken out under?
I'll be honest, the police won't do anything. Just cancel the card...
FYI The card was cancelled before the loan repayment came out!
If I had taken out the loan with these idiots, surely the money would have shown up in my account? Even the bank agree on this one!
Somehow I don't think they're reputable lenders... A reputable lender doesn't have an answering machine for a fraud dept, and ignore all attempts at contact.
After speaking to my bank's disputes dept and its fraud dept for a fifth time, they have now reluctantly agreed to open an investigation - AT LAST! I said I was going to report it to the police - they seemed to take a bit more interest after that.
They seem to think I must have arranged the loan by accident! Which is crazy beyond belief. They're going to request the documentation from Visa and 'Quick Quid' to try and get to the bottom of it. I still cant believe they think I've filled in a loan application form by accident!
Just need to wait now.

It is indeed fraud, but aginst the bank - not the OP.
It's the bank the needs to report the issue to the Police, not the OP.0 -
Just done a little digging around on the Internet and found this is a fairly common form of fraud. Last year one company alone charged 5000 UK customers for loans they didn't have. They lost over 1.5 million! There's an interesting article about it on the BBC news site. Can't post link as I'm too new here
All the fraudsters had to provide was a debit card number, name and DOB. They then used different bank details to collect the money. The payday loan companies don't even use the major credit reference agencies, they use cheap and not very thorough outfits.
Also looked on Google Street View for this 'reputable' company's office. It's a second floor office in a converted house in Palmers Green!
Think I might have found one of the director's email addresses though. Might give that a go. ..0 -
It is a genuine company with a large US operation, but the UK office is just that - an office!
The call centre and operations are all based in the states.
When I rang up to report the fraud, at the end of the conversation the telephone operator thanked me for choosing QuickQuid and asked if there was anything else he could do for me!

RESULT!
My bank has paid back my £250 and a fraud investigation is underway!
Still chasing Quick Quid for an apology and an explanation as to how this could have happened though.
Thanks for everybody's input.

Exactly the same thing happened to me! 2 days ago someone used my account first for £20 to Vodafone then over £400 to Quick Quid. I noticed last night and phoned the Co-op Bank - they said they'd put a stop on my bank card and send me a new one, investigate the transactions and pay me back if they decided they were definitely fraudulent. Having read Overworked-Underpaid's story am now a bit worried the Co-op will give me the runaround too, but forewarned is forearmed! Have checked my credit reference with Experian and everything looks fine at present. Am not sure whether to contact Quick Quid myself or just let the Co-op handle it for now...0
