Mine no longer have the POP cards that they normally give you so you can prefill all the info in advance for a few weeks now, makes a pain if your sending a few parcels in knowing what receipt is for what. Seems silly before you have the names/addresses stamped, now you just get a receipt for a certain amount with no name/address unless you remember to do it later on0

Have we ever got to the bottom of whether the P326 forms where you write in up to ten items are being phased out or not? My PO still gives them out. Some POs seem to make up their own rules.
Like theonlywayisup I can still order the pads easily through my RM business account, they are not aware at all that these are being phased out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. How do I get this bus account? I thought it was only for very large sellers (£5000 + pa in postage), it would be great if I could open one.0 -

I don't us eany online postage but a few years ago I ordered a couple of hundred pounds worth of stamps and used a business name and ended up with a buying account they deem 'a business'. If I phone now and give my name and post code they link me to my account and will send me whatever free stationery I need, like COP pads, airmail stickers, customs forms etc.
I still use the account to buy huge stocks on stamps, I've just stocked up to beat the price increase.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You can download and print certificate of posting forms from the RM website...terra_ferma wrote: »I think they are. I've heard it from several people on the boards, as well as my PO. Maybe your PO still has them in stock, but I don't think they'll get them any more when they run out.

The post office will stamp these as normal.
30 items per sheet so better than those little pads in a way.0 -
My PO is very grumpy that they can't order anymore. She wants them, but can't get them.Have we ever got to the bottom of whether the P326 forms where you write in up to ten items are being phased out or not? My PO still gives them out. Some POs seem to make up their own rules.
Thanks for online link - I've now done my stocking up on stamps with 5% off 1st class at Superdrug, so can't spend anymore of the budget on them to get a free CoP booklet

My PO puts the 1st line and postcode of the address into the computer to print out proof of posting receipts for items which are light enough to go using a stamp.0

I've had several instances lately where tracking items 'on line' just results in the message indicating that the item is being passed through the system. I've usually discovered that the letter was delivered but the subsequent logging by Royal Mail staff has presumably failed. On the one occasion when the envelope contained photos and a postal order I had the devil's own job to get a refund. In fact it was two refunds as the postal order is dealt with by a different system. Both of the refunds were issued with my name spelt incorrectly so that produced extra hassles. In future I shall only use POP. I reckon it's the current staffing and morale situation in Royal Mail.theonlywayisup wrote: »Recorded doesn't always work. Most would agree it is not worth the 74p charge.
If the item is less than £41 your CoP (certificate of posting) will cover you in the event of a claim for loss via Royal Mail. It will not defend a Paypal or Ebay chargeback. So if the item is lost, reimburse the seller and claim from RM.
If the item is more than £41, then you must use an adequately insured method, such as courier or Special Delivery. Both offer tracking and will defend a claim for INR (item not recieved).
If the item is more than £150, you need to show tracking online with a signature to defend a Paypal or Ebay claim.
I've also noticed parcels marked 'Royal Mail Tracked' are left outside people's front doors. I had over £200 worth of stuff from Amazon delivered today and it was left outside my door and the postman didn't even ring the bell. Luckily I found it before it disappeared.0 -
Thats fine if you only have a couple of items but they really don't like doing it if you walk in with bags full of post every day!My PO puts the 1st line and postcode of the address into the computer to print out proof of posting receipts for items which are light enough to go using a stamp.0 -

I don't have hundreds of items a day, but my local PO have been very funny about CoP (among other things), in the end I got fed up and started using SmartStamps. Now staff have big smiles when they see me coming with my pre-stamped parcels and ready to sign CoP, while the manager moans every time he serves me...
(obviously not at risk of closing, or it would have been a red carpet under my feet...)0
