    Thanks for confessing :)

I am not going to send you to the naughty step as only you knows what your savings situation is and whether the borrowing for the other pots is a good/bad idea.

However, I am disappointed you think that your mom will think less of your present because it's not what your siblings are getting her!
i just think aganist my brothers dishwasher and the weekend away that my sister is supposed to be getting her it looks abit rubbish :o
That si not the point of Christmas or present buying to say the least! It is the thought that counts and you have obviously put a lot of thought into your presents for her and we all know how much you care for your mom.

So, no more of this please or I will have to bring the naughty step out :p

Firstly wishing you all the best Moozie :D
Could I please join in the challenge? I think this will really help me to stop frittering money away (hopefully).
    I'll pledge £50.

  • Hello,

As is very obvious, I'm new!! How does this thread work?? As in what is the budget for, is my weekly shop part of my budget? I'm not sure I'm ready to join in just yet, I'd love to know how some of you got the whole week without spending!!

  • Don't know about anyone else but I only count unbudgeted stuff so not food, bills, etc.

Pre-lightbulb I could fritter away a whole load of money on disposable stuff like magazines, coffees, prepacked lunches, sandwiches, sweets etc but find that as I now post my spends on this bard I think twice about it first. Works a treat!
  • Went to Netto and was pleasantly suprised at amount I spent. I bought ,
Lemonade, large Dairy Farmers of UK cheese, 4 pack cheesestrings, 4 pint milk, 500g Flora, Chicago Town Pizza 2 pack, 10 chocices, 6 pack sausage rolls, 3 pack Cornish Pasties, 2 x 6 pack Premium 80% pork sausages, 4 pack kitchen rolls, 1 Dove soap, 1 oxo cubes, 1 pack of 4 sliced dry cured ham,10 pack Quavers, 6 mince pies, packet of ryvita style cripsbread - All for just under £20.
Oops, I nearly forgot to add 440g large jar of pitted green olives and pack of 6 snack box raisins!

Still all in for under £20:)
    keep smiling,

  • Just bobbing up for air again...

LA - glad you had a good time with your friend at the weekend. I had a girlie Saturday myself and it was fantastic! We need days like that - don't feel bad. Feeling good makes the tough job of debt busting easier, no?

Right! Back to it (before Moozie shouts). One and half more hours of revision planning/note taking/confusement and then Madonna's on Channel 4.
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

    Thanks Choca,

In that case, I don't intend to spend anything this week. I need to go to town, but I've got a bike, so no need for bus fare. I'll take pack up to work. Thinking about I can't forsee any reason for spending btween now and next Sun. Let's see if I can do it!!

I could have written this myself  Plus I used to buy clothes/shoes/bags just because it was lunch time and I was out and bored. Most of it has been ebayed now :o

As chocs says, the challenge is for unplanned spends so spending money only really. Good luck :)
