Good afternoon lovely DFWs
Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday! It's been non stop packing here since yeaterday morning and we have finally run out of boxes :j I am pleased because I really do want to have some relaxation time now and the military commander :rotfl: would not have let me rest with empty boxes sitting around
The best thing is that I have not spent any money since Thursday! :T So although I went over last week's budget, I've been very good for three days in a row
I'll aim for no more than £15 again this week and I will make it this time!

hiya Moozie!! good to hear your packing has progressed so well. tiring tho isn't it? and disorientating having everything in boxes. even if you know perfectly well what's in each box it's still wierd...
anyway, this week I spent £21.41 Sun to Fri so under budget by £8.59 (didn't clarify this before but Saturday is not included is that right?... I went out and stocked up on groceries yesterday assuming sunnily that it wasn't part of the challenge...) will set budget this week at £25, shouldn't be too much of a problem to stick to it I hope ... I think the way I want to approach it is make sure I've got the groceries cupboard well stocked and then use the challenge to make sure I use that food and don't buy lots of overpriced stuff out of disorganisation.0 -
Good afternoon,
Last week I hit £15.55 but that was including £3.50 for some photos I had to buy for a job interview. It was worth it though - i got the job
Will set £15 again this week.
Thanks0 -
I have some other good DFW news, which is about the pan I managed to burn hopelessly yesterday (trying to poach eggs, forgot to put in water, plastic egg holder cup thingies with eggs in them melted into a morass of plastic & egg on the saucepan bottom). I chucked the whole lot in the bin assuming the pan was unusable but my boyfriend persuaded me to see if the plastic would just break off and actually, it did. So I don't have to buy a new pan!! or metal holder for the cups. I'll replace the cup holders at some point but don't have to right now and they won't cost much. So a saving!!!0

Hey sweetie
Packing is very tiring. We sat on the sofa to watch a bit of tv last night (amongst all the boxes!) and we were both asleep by 9:15! It was so funny to wake up and see how we were laying there like we had passed out :rotfl:
You are spot on about the challenge. Saturdays are not includedI was doing this by myself and I like to give me some freedom on Saturdays so I didn't include it. When I opened up the challenge to everyone else, I kept to that and so far, seems to be working well. PAP is doing the whole week though so if anyone wants to do that, that's also fine
