Medicines during pregancy?

I second the Boots blackcurrant throat medicine, I used it recently and it specifically says it's suitable for pregnant women. Also, tesco's own version of strepsils are ok - BUT only the ones that contain 'hexylresorcinol', not the ones that contain 'amylmetacresol' (it says on the front of the box what it contains and on the back the amylmet ones say to consult your doctor if you're pregnant, and doesn't mention anything on the hexy ones). I find they work just as well as strepsils.DFW by end of June 2016...! LBM June 2011

Thanks all.
Woke up this morning with my sore throat pretty much gone and a streaming cold instead!
I can deal with that a lot better as it's just inconvenient rather than painful :j0 -
somehow it seems wrong to say 'oh that's good' but a cold is far less worrying than potential tonsilitis...take care, plenty of rest, fluids and chocolate

Onion.
Finely chop onion, into a bowl, sprinkle liberally with sugar, cover and wait for it to release juices. Take one or two spoonfulls every so often.
This is my favourite sore throat remedy and onion is a great bug killer - antiseptic.:wall:0
