  • Just send it as normal it will be fine. All you need to do extra is !!! an air mail sticker, write on 'small packet' under the sticker, fill in and stick on a simple customs label form and don't forget your sender address on the back.

    thats all thats needed :D
  • Surprisingly, "small packets" are usually actually cheaper to send abroad than "letters" of the same weight.
The customs label will ask the value of the item. For cheap items, I normally put the total paid inc p&p in the "value" box, but I wouldn't do that with more expensive items which might attract customs charges.
  • I'm pretty sure that you have to have the sender address on the front now - at least that's what my local PO told me :)
Don't sweat the small stuff ................It's all small stuff!

I have always put it on the back and have had no problems. I'd worry about putting it on the front as it might confuse the sorters and I might get the package sent to myself ;)

I think what cafenervosa means is the sellers address on the back incase of returns and of course the buyers address on the front. :D

I just use airmail, jave to fill out a customs form but straight forward, value and description. Surface mail may be cheaper but takes AGES!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200

No, my local post office is saying that now the send to address *and* the return address must be shown on the front of the envelope, and to make it more crowded the customs label must also be on the front. They illustrate it by referring to the print your own labels that you canbuy online where the 'To' address is in the centre of the envelope, but the 'from' address is smaller and on the top RH side on the front of the envelope. There should be nothing on the reverse any more.

One post office locally won't accept it if I do it wrong, but the other will, but warn me it may slow the package down as it can't be automatically sorted (or something  ). Apparently it also appliesfor items to Canada as well.

here's the customs document (for items < £270)... there used to be a web page that would generate the final customs document for you but I can't remember where it was and tbh it's not too big a deal using a bic pen :)

You say put the sender address on the top right hand side?...well the Postage label goes there.
