Thanks for the link my alpine friend, however I notice that policy costs only £35 per year. Our OP chicken friend has been paying £20 per month, which stinks of PPI. I can smell it from here.

I know but surely it's worth him checking as Egg refer to their PPI as 'Card Repayment Protection'.

  • Well many thanks again 'The Knitting Drummer' and 'Alpine Star' for your input and encouragement. The good news is... wait for it....

I have just received a FULL refund for any charges imposed over the last 6 years PLUS 8%!

I drum and knit to help Independent Drummers and Knitters to comply with their rhythms and knitting patterns. Although I am qualified to, I don't advise drummers or knitters for reward.

    Do you suffer from dyslexia?

The thread title and the opening post clearly state that the deductions were made for Credit Card Protection.

Hi there my Alpine friend, good to see you back on here. As a matter of fact I am dyslexic, but I'm not stupid.

The opening post clearly talks about Card Repayment Protection, because our OP Chicken friend has been paying £20 per month.

He has now received a successful refund, so please have the good grace to let this thread flitter off into the obscurity of the back catalogue.

  • Um, so from reading these posts, I take it the 'credit card repayment protector' deducted monthly from my OH's Egg credit card account between 2003-2007 is PPI? The amounts ranged from £9 - £27. I hope so, as we're about to send off a questionnaire!
