I applied in branch and that was for the previous issue so can't help there.

I think they say that if you apply on-line they will send you a welcome pack within 5 working days or something and the pack includes details of how to pay in electronically?

Why don't you ring them up using the number on this page and see how your application is progressing.

Given it is likely to close soon it is probably worth checking albeit there is likely to be a short period of grace given to fund the account after the account is closed judging by last time

It appears to have been pulled in the last hour.

It was in the list of Bonds at 4pm when I decided to apply online. My application returned an "Oops" error message after sending the last page. The 5 year Bond was no longer in the list at 5pm.

Clicking the link now gives a message from Northern Rock which states "OOPS! SOMETHING'S GONE WRONG" and gives you alternatives of clicking on general links.

Just maybe NR have suspended it overnight and it will be reinstated at start of business tomorrow when they can monitor applications since it has been in the general email on MSE.

I will give it another try in the morning. I live in hope.....lol

I have not received a Welcome Pack. What I have is a letter giving the account number which also explains how to transfer money into the account and a separate letter confirming the deposit. I presume that's all I am to receive in terms of hard copy; the rest must be online. Thus for those who are expecting a glossy pack with details of the account prepare for disappointment.

Received phone call from Northern Rock at 16.36 to inform me product was closed down at 16.30, We've got till Friday 15th to deposit funds...

Just to correct the above statement. Today I received a Welcome Pack asking me to deposit money already deposited. Never mind. It just so happens that the paperwork has arrived in the wrong order.

Savers will receive a Welcome Pack including terms and conditions and withdrawal form.
