Mothership I've always found this to be the most supportive thread, its one of the reasons I've been here since 2007
I agree with the others, I'd give flowers to your sister, she must be distraught. If you can deliver them personally so much the better; maybe you could tell her what you feel about her, as you've just told us.
I can understand the attraction, you can feel the warmth. Its the best place on the net.
I'm going to visit her when I get a chance, I'm a bit bogged down with work, I tell her how much I love her, and how proud I am of her, she's such a loving soul. Thank you everyone the flowers will definitely be going to to her. I don't think she's EVER had flowers. I'm saving some pennies to take her shopping when I do go to see her. I will fill her cupboards to the brim, and buy her and her weans some nice things. I've only met her oldest child, I came so close to adopting her. Her mother managed to do well when she broke free from her M. They were both treated like servants by our mother, she fell out with her DGD because she took too long to make her a pot of tea.
Loving all the babysitting, my DD2 is back at work, (the one with the tumour). She needs a lot of support.
Going for compost, and a pack of plants at the post office, thats all my wee baby plants starting to arrive, my other passion is gardening.
Freezer stock slowly going down, I emptied a whole drawer of it the other day and my cupboards to give food to the son of my best friend who hadn't eaten for 3 days, he arrived at my door with an entourage to collect it, 5 neighbours called the police, they terrorised the whole street. The wee boy I thought I was helping was no more, he's a junkie.
I wont be doing that again! My family went nuts. I'm in trouble AGAIN!
Fish pie for dinner nom nom nom.
Thank you everyone for your hugs, thoughts and support, hugs back to all of you, especially those having a hard time. xx1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

nettle pasta
3 litres of nettle tips (or the nettles left over from making nettle beer)
500g fine flour
2-3 eggs
pinch of salt
use of a pasta machine.
!
I made this by saving the nettles from making nettle beer (removing the lemon peel afterwards)- ideal: one picking session results in two recipes! To start from stratch, pick only the nettle tips of young nettles. Cover with two litres of water, bring to the boil and boil for half to one hour. Strain. Squeeze the nettles to remove all the water - you should end up with two egg sized lumps of nettle pulp
In a mixer blend the flour and nettles together then add two eggs. The mixture should resemble sand.. and a pinch of it squeezed together holds, if too wet add more flour.. if too dry add more egg.
Turn the sandy mixture onto a board and squeeze together into a lump, then need for a few minute. Then use in your pasta machine, following its instructions, making whatever pasta you prefer - we made spagetti. Cook or dry for later use
thanks for this. did you see the nettle pasta that the farmer made on super scrimpers? she made it look so easy!! but i wonder how good it tastes?DFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800

Hi,
Just popped on to say to Mothership that if you can't get there perhaps a nice long phone call to your sister and a card to arrive a few days later would be a nice idea - perhaps some continuing support for her would be appreciated more?
Take some time to be nice to yourself too though! You need hugs too even if you may feel ok about it all now.
