I currently using Swedish spring RLS3 which is effectively a later version of JJ. It has been made by the same dev. Wifi behaves much better on this. You can find it on the modaco forum.

I had a spell with Cyanomodgen (gingerbread 2.3) but ther were too many bugs for daily use.

Yes I have seen Swedish Spring, but I thought it was still in beta which put me off.

I said I couldn't connect to the internet, when I should have said I can't connect via wifi.

I'm new to Smartphones so need something straightforward and that works while I'm learning how to use it.

    I appreciate all the help.

I'm about to try Swedish Spring, however read the forums there it seems to suffer the same wifi connection problems. If that happens I will try FLB.

I tried JJ, Swedish Spring and FLB, none would connect by wifi. I changed the security setting on my router from WPA to WEP and can now connect.

    Thanks for all the help.

I think the OSF is a little finnicky with WIFI connections, I know my son had several issues with WIFI on the stock ROM but it appears to be quite stable with the JJ ROM on it. As you've found however, it's very easy to change ROMs on the phone until you find one that's to your liking. :) Glad you got it sorted in the end.
