Enforcement Team and DEO

Following some seriously frustrating calls on Friday (3 lengthy calls made by me) which was just a lot of fobbing off, excuses and broken promises of a call back the same day. I have taken the plunge and contacted my MP via email, he responded asking me to put it in writing and send to the house of commons, which I have done via recorded delivery. So now I just cross my fingers and hope for the best.
A year ago, the stupid case worker, assessed my ex to pay 15 % of his monthly income (should be weekly) so I have been underpaid since then, then further deductions started in January meaning I was getting a paltry £30.07 per month for my DD. I queried this, and they decided to do finance work...and there the problems escalated.
I just hope the MP will put a rocket up their backside.

I'm still having an ongoing battle. CSA have STILL NOT done the new payment schedule after my ex asked to be reassessed (payslips sent in and received on 11/04/11) and still no DEO sent to his work. I've called them again today and said if it isn't sorted within 7 days then I will be contacting my MP again after them telling him in February it will be sorted. I'm absolutely sick of this farce now. The CSA are a bluddy joke. :mad:0 -

Yes, that is the site I used to make initial contact with the local MP, who then emailed back and asked me to put it in writing to him at the house of commons, which I sent Friday. I had a phonecall today from his secretary regarding my letter (quick response) to confirm a few details and said she was sending a letter to the CSA.
I'm not holding my breath from what you have said.
Absolutely disgraceful treatment you have had from the CSA...much as I have too....like many others I suppose
I actually asked them for a job last time I spoke to them, saying "I'd love to work there as hardly any work gets done, can I have a job?"
Funny enough he didn't like that comment!0 -
Izzy, I have had a call today from Falkirk office who (as a result of me contacting the MP) are now going to sort out my cases. They will start with making new assessments and sending this to me in writing within the next few weeks, then a full audit will be done on my cases to find any under/overpayments etc. It is so frustrating though when I am told that there maybe a change of circumstances dating back to last year (?) that has to be looked at but they cannot tell me what it is. I do not understand why my cases are clerical, how much effort is required to enter the information onto a database and scrap the clerical side of things, as clerical cases are slower in everyway.
That was the good news, then came the bad; once all this is done, then my case will go back to the incompetent bunch of monkeys in the bolton/crewe office, who are the idiots who have caused all these problems to start with, and who I know (from reading other people's experiences will mess it all up again).
I tell myself that I must focus on the positive, I have been given a name and direct number so at least I know my claims are being looked at by someone other than the bolton/crewe monkeys.0 -
I agree deo's don't always mean you'll get a payment i have had one for 2 years and have had a total of 7 payments some of which have been for 3 months money but yet again he has 5 months money owing to me . The fact his employer is his best mate has nothing to do with it according to the csa . everytime i ring csa they ring them and it's always late because they have a new secretary who doesn't know how to send payment lol .Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
New challenge finish birth sampler by end of the month
No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -

So much for employees being 'legally' required to ensure those payments are being made, the whole thing is a (very bad) joke.
From my experience and that of those who I have read about, DEO's are not worth the paper they are written on.0 -

Well guess what? After so much frustration due to lack of payment schedule I got my MP involved yet again. He contacted them and they told him a payment schedule was being done as they spoke and a DEO was being set up albeit this could take a couple of months to sort out; a letter was in the post saying to this effect. The very same day my MP emailed me with this info someone from the CSA called me to advise me of how much the revised payments were going to be and that the first one would be collected by standing order on 15th June!!!!!!!!! I replied with 'but you have just informed my MP that a DEO is being set up' and they had nothing on their system saying that and even though the ex tw&t has made card payments in the past when requested, albeit not full payments, they are allowing him to pay by standing order!!!!!! I immediately got back in touch with my MP and said to him here is solid proof of the CSA's inability to stick to one story and lie through their teeth; so he is doing a complaint himself now. Personally I don't care how it's paid, as long as it is. However, the CSA need to be made accountable for the lies they tell to fob people off and the delay tactics they use.
I'll update when the MP has had a response!0 -

Ain't that the truth! If only they were accountable!
They really haven't a clue what they are doing at the CSA
I had 8 letters the other day ; 2 sets of identical pairs, 4 others with random/differing amounts on them about ONE of my cases.
The Falkirk office are meant to be dealing with my cases due to the incompetence of the Crewe office, but these 8 letters ALL came from the Crewe office.
As for my other case I have heard nothing at all from Falkirk (or anywhere else for that matter). Despite my MP sending the CSA a letter, and them assuring him they are on to it.
I am starting to think my children will be adults/parents themselves before this will be sorted.
Argghhhh the frustration!0
