Enforcement Team and DEO

Hi there
Well my ex hasn't paid the amount he was required to make on 17th March as stipulated in the payment schedule. This was his one and only chance to voluntarily pay and because he hasn't the CSA are going to try to get hold of him today by phone and if they can't they are going for a DEO as from 15th April. I have this in writing from both the CSA and a letter sent to me from my MP who was dealing with the case; which I am taking to now be gospel that they HAVE to do this.
Now; what do I need to do to ensure that they get this DEO set up in time before he gets paid on 15th April?? Have they left it too bleeding late again considering there is only 17 days left; or is it a fairly quick set up?
Thanks in advance

given that they'll probably give his employer 14 days to respond and they probably won't do it till the 14th day, you stand very little chance of getting money for April. Think May. And then remember that the employer has until the 19th of the following month to make the payment. So think after 19th June.0

I really hope to god its not June!! I'm struggling financially big time which is what the jerk wants me to be doing.. I think as MP was involved they are quite jumpy when I phone them as I'm sure she said she was going to phone him today, if no answer then the enforcement team will sent DEO.
I told them in February this would happen but they said 'oh we have to give him a chance to pay voluntarily' and I said he wont for gods sake because this is the only means of control over me he has left, and I have been proved right yet again... I'm fed up with all this, really I am. Its not good enough is it? I've been waiting since August for them to set this up.
Sorry edited to say letter from MP and CSA clearly states the DEO will take effect from 15th April if he fails to make payment on 17th March, so can I kick off if they don't make this happen?0 -

It won't be the ex that is making the payment via DEO, so it depends if the wages office process the paperwork etc by that date, expect the worse and hope for the best, moral of the story, don't be having babies with jerks when there are plenty of nice guys about

If you get it sorted, that's good. As someone who is struggling financially and who doesn't expect to see any money from the CSA this side of the next 5 years, my inclination is to shrug my shoulders and say, what's another month?!
Jumping up and down and making a fuss wouldn't go a miss. But be polite about it. I just can't see that there's enough time between now and the 15th April to get things sorted from a paperwork point of view. You can't force his employer to get their house in order more quickly than is permitted by the rules just because your ex isn't playing ball. Even in efficient organisations with big HR departments, getting the right piece of paper on the right person's desk can take a few days and then they have to deal with and not be in meetings, on annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave......
I know it's frustrating. Just cross your fingers his employer plays ball. My ex is his own employer and even with a DEO, they gave him a further 8 months before chasing him!!!!0 -
Well they spoke to him today at work which, according to the lady at the CSA, he was really annoyed about. She told him if he refuses to make a payment then they will go for DEO; his response? You can't do that without my say so!! He was told I can assure you we can so because he refused to discuss it whilst at work they have agreed a time tomorrow when he will. She said if he doesn't play ball tomorrow then DEO it is; probably looking at May for 1st payment.
He has already had two dealings with his HR dept recently due to alleged violence towards his PREGNANT gf who he works with and has been put on seperate shifts to her and being suspended lately due to turning up to work blind drunk. You would think the last thing he would want is for HR to now have to sort out his CSA payments for him.. He obviously has no morals and doesn't value his life being particularly private.0 -

And why you should consider that some employers do not want the added fuss of DEO, and to get rid of the problem, they get rid of the employee. :eek:0 -
