Low click through rate on Rightmove

I think I understood. Your house is not the house that comes up on rightmove's streetview link and it doesn't join the flats that are shown joined to the house that comes up on the rightmove link. But it is joined to some flats - just a different block. Is that right?0

Have often wondered if they pay extra for this, and whether it influences how many look at the Rightmove listing.
Might be worth asking your agent.
Although this is no way forms any sort of statistical proof, I'm currently looking at which houses in my area I want to view, and the 'premium listing' shouts to me 'OVERPRICED!!!!'. I really find it adds nothing and makes me less likely to click on those houses, and even less to view them, as I suspect it will be a waste of time. I also find the concept that a red circle on the advert will make me want the place more quite insulting.
In relation to the OP, I have to say that is one ugly house. It would need repainting before I'd be interested.0 -
I admit I was shocked by the small size of the garden, but that's not affecting your clickthrough...
...unless...I remember, when I was looking, there was one development with tiny gardens and houses cramped close together...once I'd seen one, I dismissed them all. Buyers get to know their area quite quickly, and just skim past streets that aren't to their taste. Which is bad luck if you happen to have a nicer house than everybody else's...

It might be insulting to you but clearly not to 'the masses' - as I mentioned above, it attracts 34% more views of the full details (maybe not that relevant) and 21% more enquiries - very relevant.0 -
Has your agent informed you of a sudden increase in Roightmove views?Been away for a while.0

i can't see your house, there is no link?0

It looks like the OP has removed it to see how her click through rate improves rather than all of us clicking and giving inaccurate stats.
I had a peep the other day but was curious again too :-)Proud meowmy of four fuzzy cats

I agree with other posters, the main picture shows an awful colour to the house. Is that the real colour or was the sun not out that day.
Looking at the Street view from the website on Rightmove, shows it to be a cream colour. However, the dustbins and untidy front area does nothing to make someone viewing the pictures, feel like saying, yes that's the one I want to see!
The dustbins need to be removed to the back area (permanently, except for dustbin day, unless you can't. In which case, place a small wooden unit to house them and place some plants on top). What is the ruling for having items on your front area.
I would suggest having two hanging baskets with some frangrant flowers.
You could have some low white chain and fenceposts around your front area, so making your front area more defined. The small tree in a pot that shows in your main picture on Rightmove looks a bit lost.
And you could have two half planters on your front wall, either side of your front door.
You certainly need new pictures taken for the internal area. And the garden definitely needs a tidy up and the fence should be a pale cream colour, making it feel lighter or better still, make it the same sandstone colour of the houses behind your garden. At the moment it has three different colours and this makes it looked unloved. The angle of the phote is completely wrong, as it doen't show your garden off to it's best. Was the person who photographed them new to taking pictures?
The internal ones have the same problem. Half of the areas are not visible. The rooms need to be 'dressed'. The Lounge/Diner needs it's furniture rearranged. One of the sofas should be on the wall where the unit is and the table near the kitchen wall (that way it is close to the kitchen and you can make it a more intimate area. It's very difficult to see the full proportions of the room because the way the picture has been taken makes the room look cluttered and small.
If you have a good digital camera, either a separate one or on a mobile, I would try rearranging your furniture and taking your own pictures. That way, you get to see which is the best arrangement for your furniture. Then if the photos are of a high-enough quality, give them to your EA and ask for them to be used on RM instead of the ones that are currently there, as they are not doing your House Sale any good at all.
There needs to be some colour injected into the photos as well. Some different sofa cushions, so fluffy towels in the bathroom, dress the table with crockery, cutlery and glasses plus candles, and make that a separate photo. You are selling a lifestyle to someone, so make them want it!
Remove the toy and toy storage from the main living room (especially when you get viewings). Drape the curtains (pull together at the top rail and fold back over a side hook, even on the patio doors.
If the kitchen is a kitchen/breakfast room, show the eating area/table.
You property has potential, even though it is in an appalling development (why do developers create these sort of soul-less streets); you just need to make it 'stand out'.
The price is ok but you can get 'more' and 'less' for the same price in different areas. But as I don't know this area, it's difficult to know if yours is priced right.
To make yours 'stand out' you need something extra: do either of your bathrooms have a shower, apart from the siteplan, there is nothing to show someone there is one in the photos? What kind of Fridge/freezer do you have (are you leaving it)? Any chance of having a small conservatory or decked area with pergola (somewhere to sit in the evening)? You know your house best, so can you think of something that isn't offered by your next-door houses?
Either way, I hope you take up some of my suggestions. Your current photos do not do your house justice and they should. The small photo showing in the search page on RM should be taken from (as you stand facing your front door) the left. The person needs to stand facing your house but on the other side of the road, almost in front of those flats that ajoin your property. That way, they will get a better perspective of your property in the image. And the photo on RM at the moment is too small.
I hope you get some viewers soon.....:j0 -
