  Was going to make beetroot chocolate brownies, got the beetroot set to cook in the microwave, went to get the dark chocolate that I knew was in the cupboard and lo and behold it has gone! So now my worksurfaces in the kitchen look like I have committed a bloody murder from peeling the beetroot, especially as my gloves are all red stained..lol Oh well will have to wait until we get back later this afternoon and I can do them then. How annoying is that..

Suppose I had better do HH worth of ironing..lol

Better get a move on, need to go and see FIL its his birthday! Will be a quick visit as I have a chest infection and don't want to give the residents in the nursing home the lurgy! Got a cheque from mum to bank, for me to put money on my Dad's tribute fund at the hospice, he would have been 80 tomorrow! Also need to rummage in freezer to find something for dinner tonight, having a serious CBA day and if I dont look for something will end up giving in to demands for takeaway!

not got very far this morning - just done the washing mountain and the dailies - waiting in all day for a rowing machine my husband has bought to fill the space I have decluttered:mad::mad::mad: consequently the kids are going craaaaaazzzzzyy. Little one's asleep now and big one is watching way too much tv today for my liking - hoping some friends will come over this afternoon to keep us company

happierdays go for lunch! Quality time together is too precious to waste.

So far today I have - cancelled car insurance. I hate automatice renewals. Found a much better deal.

That is unfortunately it. Still feeling grotty. Will try another 15min after a sit down. Not having eaten since Sunday night is starting to be felt. Will see if I can keep down an oatcake.

I have crossed out jobs already done or n/a. I haven't got a great deal of energy today, so may not get the whole list done, but I keep the living room tidy anyway, as we use the kitchen for the living area too :) Might have to have another nap this afternoon - whoever asked if the hour has made anyone else tired the answer is yes! :)

LW that sounds like exactly what we need to do to our loft. May I ask where you're getting your ladder from and how much it costs?
It's from a company called BPS Access Solutions Ltd. They had a stall at the homes and gardens exhibition in Middleton Hall in Central MK shopping centre, and we got a special show price of £200.

It's something we've been thinking about doing for more than a couple of years now, so seeing it there made us stop prevaricating and go for it.;)

*Goes away for a quick Google* They have a website... here you go.:o

  • Thanks LW will go on the list of things we need to save up for.

Not a brilliant day so far

    Back is still hurting.

School have rang to say DS2 has come out in big red lumps. A bit worrying as he is anaphalatic to nuts. I went to see him and they are bites. He has had piriton and is still at school. I only live over the road if he gets worse. I was in my friend's car about to go to the garden centre so have cancelled plans. I have stripped son's bed incase the biting thing was in there. We do have a cat but regularly treat her with flea stuff so hope it is not her.

    2xwm done, ds2 bedding now in td, K & B s&s done
