    " I need a hug"

Since I had that sore throat bug, and it was a doozy, my hearing has been getting worse.

I can't hear high pitched voices or other sounds like birds.
I can't hear really low voices like DS1s.
Some mid-ranges I can hear really well, from the other side of the room.:o

Doc gave me ABs last week, but I'm going back tomorrow for somemore as this 'glue ear' type thing is maybe resistant.
Anyways, I'm feeling proper sorry for myself, so here I am for my pat on the head and a hug. :o

my friend had that before Xmas she was deaf for 6 weeks before it went away, on the upside she couldnt hear the kids;)

I am shattered, really hard shift at work tonight, cos I offered to help someone finish their stuff and everyone else just b*ggered off:mad:

    Hi Need more time
have a big squishy (((hug))) first - you sound really done in. And dont apologise for moaning you feel free to come on here any time and rant or moan - it might help if you have an outlet and we will give you the benefit of our experiences - not always wise so be warned !!!

Until you get your DS2 properly diagnosed then there is not a lt you can do regards routines but maybe you could limit the toys he gets to play with - could you hide some of the things he hauls out maybe swapping them every other week and even though he is only 5 and has endless wrecking power try teaching him to put things away before he goes to bed - it will take a lot of patience and perseverance on your part but it might work?

As for the 11yo you need to get him trained to help to - there are loads of things he could be doing - some of the ladies on here find the confiscation of their most favourite thing until the job is done to your satisfaction seems to work best. be strong be firm - you and your DH - its not just to help you its for his own good to.

Who else has an 11 yo - what do they help with in the house - can you give need more time some ideas please????

Dorastar I know some of the other teachers take work home too - is it absolutely necessary for you to take it home? if it is then you are not going to have a lot of time in the evening to get things done - make sure you have an evening routine of laying out next days clothes, packed bags any pack lunches done, any money needed etc etc and then maybe that would give you an extra 15 mins in the morn to S & S the kitchen or do something towards the evening - lay the table, get the meal organised - you really need serious routines in place to try to make the best use of what little time - if you can do a big clean up one weekend then see how well you can keep it under control during the week. Are there others in the house who could be helping but dont?

    toots xx

Just read this post...I don't know if anyone has answered yet as not caught up but I wanted to say I have a 10 y/o and he does the following

    - puts together the school lunches in the morning (9 times out of 10 I have done the sandwichs the night before, but on the odd occasion he does them for me in the morning)
    - tidies his room
    - helps the other two with their rooms if needed
    - takes his plate / bowl / cup and loads it into dishwasher

and generally does little jobs for me every day like take things upstairs, fetches washing down when I ask etc.

I don't know if this is a normal amount or not? Hope this helps you xxx

ETA - Ok, so I see this has been answered :o:) Well you have tuppence worth, too x We have 50p per day if he has behaved.....

Hi all, hope you are having a good week, am in again.

Chased up some papers I am waiting for and WM x2, kids had to have micro meals for dinner as between 4.30 and 10 I had to go to parents evening(16.40), drop DS1 at work(17.00) and DS3 to football trials(17.00), go to doctor and pick up a prescription and be at college for 18.00, pick DS1 up from work and DS2 from college! Madness.
