The first rattle........ :(

I thought that you could only use a different size plate if the car originally came with it. All Picantos I've ever seen have standard front plates. (which makes me wonder whether it is actually the plate)
I'll take the front plate off* and see if it still makes the noise
*I know this is definitely illegal, GTFO :rotfl:0 -
Get some double-sided foam tape and stick that under it , screw it back down, should be fine...
if that's where your rattle's coming from.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten."l! ilyë yantë ranya nar vanwë"0 -
Doesn't disappear completely but seems to be a lot less prevalent with a passenger which suggests it could be the passenger seat that's at fault.
Booked it in today.0 -
I think it's far healthier once you car hits the 5th or 10th rattle as you stop caring....
BTW Kilty did you see my post on the DAB thread about not needing double-DIN on a Pic?0 -
Oops, yes - I ment to reply - I didn't mean I'd NEED double din as in nothing else would fit, I meant I'd need double DIN because I don't like the look of single DIN in a double DIN hole0

they proably took it around the block that doesnt have the rough tarmac patches.
funny enough my dads ceed was in today, there was a knock on turning the stearing wheel i narrowed it to the stearing column coupling that meets with the stearing rack at fault. but according to kia it was a loose anti roll bar link that needed slight adjustment but that was the first thing i looked at both were tight and showed no sign of play when the wheel was moved and the sound didnt go away, i then put my hand over the cover for the bottom stearing column coupling and clearly felt the knocking with my hand.
told my dad not to take it out of the depot untill he has looked and tested it first, he too has a rattle behind his dash though they took out the radio to diagnose that it wasnt the radio that was causing it and he has to bring it back for the whole dash to come out next week.0 -
Dunno what to do because it seems to go away when I have a passenger so it's not as if they could come out with me (and nobody would be able to sit in the seat behind me unless they have no legs)
Might try a different dealer (the one I bought it from maybe)0 -
Amazing how much noise even a small stone having been lodged somewhere it shouldn't, makes...0
