The first rattle........ :(

Get someone to ride in the car with you and try to identify where the noise is coming from. They can prod and poke things or stick their head out of the window to try and locate it, while you're concentrating on driving and making the noise.
More chance then of being able to tell the dealer where the noise is coming from - or finding the coin that has fallen under the seat!:)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I can hardly remember my first " rattle ", I'm fairly sure it wasn't in a car..:)0

Any car.
All cars rattle, it's a fact of life. Some people are more tuned to it.
This reminds me of an embarrassing incident with a Hyundai many years ago. I was convinced something was loose in the dashboard -- every time I went around a corner there was a "slooosh-clunk" noise coming from somewhere. Took it into the dealer, he was unable to locate it and offered to take the whole dash apart to search for the (very annoying) rattle.
On my way home I found it -- a bottle of de-icer under the driver's seat.....
We had a Lexus Ls few years ago and it was the only car I remember that never had any rattle, got shot of it as it was thirsty like a sailor on shore leave.:pFive exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

I have a 1 yr old Kia (Rio 2) with an annoying rattle.... I know what it is, it's the rear number plate, it was put on when warm and is now slightly bent and it rattles like anything, especially on rough surfaces0

Not to mention it was set for the £400+ VED ("road tax") bracket based on emissions from that 2 litre V6
I looked at an IS200 myself a few years ago and found the pre-2001 cars were worth more than 2002 cars purely because of the proposed tax change for vehicles 2001 onwards! Craziness!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Hmmmmmm
Rear plate is stuck fast (I took off the dealer plate which was screwed on and rattled when you shut the tailgate) however the front plate could be a suspect.
Has two screws towards the middle because of the size of the plate holder on the Picanto leaving each side free.
Might need to get an import size plate for it *
*I know that's technically illegal0 -
As long as the letter size and spacing are correct, the plate can be any size“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Yup, and take a look at various Hyundais (Coupes, Getzes and Elantras spring to mind) -- quite a lot of them have the "motorbike"-style number plates (square, two lines of characters), because these cars were originally designed with US or Korean plates in mind. Just like a lot of the old Datsuns and Toyotas from the 1970s.
There must be a reason the dealers put these on -- 'cause they sure as hell don't do anything for the car's looks0 -
