The only downside is after 6 months over winter without getting out the old !!! gets a little bit sore, that will go after a week or so however!
I am quite surprised how little i hurt after getting back on the bike
its been at least 1 year(probably a good bit more)0 -
Commuted once (would have been twice, forgot to allow for darkness at 5:30) and just done the 10.5 miles again. Took about 12 mins off my original time.
Difference? Bought a Ridgeway tourer. So road bike it is.
I'll put the knobblies back on the MTB incase I fancy a run up the forests.0 -

The difference between a cheap bike and proper road bike is just astounding.
I went from an Argos 'bike shaped object' to a low end road bike, went out and did 100km yesterday. Wonderful. Before I'd have been lucky to do 30-40.
