Rant ahead...

Long time poster using AE ;)

Im in a vile mood now, I wasn't in a vile mood, I was feeling rather cheerful and looking forward to a lazy afternoon watching the footie, but no, once again I'm the baddie.

Firstly, I come downstairs carrying the wash basket, I can't see especially well down them and trip down the last 3 steps twisting my ankle because someone has left a box of crap there. Annoyed I did shout "Which bloody idiot left something on the stairs I almost broke my neck". OH admits to it, then goes into a sulk over it. Had I left it there and he'd have fallen over he'd have created merry hell.

My DS(18) then decides that because I've had a moan about leaving crap on the stairs I'm "In one" so spends half an hour asking "whats up" and "your in a mood" etc etc. When I reach the point that I have had enough and tell him I wasn't in a bad mood but him constantly telling me I am is really getting me there he replies with a sarcastic "There we go".

Of course, OH and DS now side with knowing 'she's in one' looks so either way I can't win now.

So, now I'm upstairs, out of the way because frankly yes, now I'm steaming and I'm ready to tell both DS and OH to go whistle.

rant over.

  • Big dodgy hug for you! :grouphug:

I rather enjoy my bad moods ;); though they don't happen too often these days I used to really go for it on the stomping and glowering. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks ladies, they really do wind me up when they gang up on me, I really was quite happy and chilled until they started.
Apparently the stairs issue was my fault as I should have realised he had left his box of random crap there to be taken up by the next person up them. Seemingly my powers of mind reading are failing me again today.

I think you are probably right pigpen, I may take myself off to my friends for a few hours for a coffee and a natter and !!!!!! the pair of them!

Walk out for a couple of hours.........................

Cake and coffee sounds good like pigpen has suggested.

Get them to help about the home, get them to share cooknig and such like, even if they each cook one night a week, and spend 1 hour per day putting away their c**p it will all help

Why aren't you on the sofa watching tv and getting them to do the washing et al?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

You know what they're like by now, just ignore them.
Tell them to do their own laundry that should shut them up for 5 minutes, you have a pampering evening xx

I'd think that your ankle is far too sore to do any chores around the house for about a week. The occasional whimper as you put your foot up and rest in front of the telly might help xx
