Renting a campervan - Ideas?
Comments

I have rang and emailed Sundrive about photos of their classic VW camper 4-5 times now and every time I speak to them the caravan is out on hire. When I have emailed them they send me the information pack for it but no photos. I even emailed them with a complaint about their customer service and have had no reply. I dont think they are to be trusted!!! however if someone has actually hired a van from them I would be interested in hearing about it.0

As I always see loads of camper vans in the UK sitting doing nothing, I was thinking we could try "rent" one from someone locally, but I haven't got a notion where to start. Most people these days don't really look at notice boards, can anyone suggest other ways I could do this? Gumtree? Freecycle?
Are you any further in to your enquiries0 -
Annual hire coverage for the hirer quoted about 1600 pounds. That was too much for me, I need to find a per-hire insurer.Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker0

Try Dayinsure motorhome insurance - you'll have to google it 'cos I can't post a link yet.0

Thanks buddy. Interesting, they also have temporary insurance but with the new continuous insurance rules is that still valid?Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. Hi everyone,
I'm a journalist for a national newspaper investigating Sundrivehire. If anyone has any information on this company, I'd greatly appreciate a call, 078 70 626 456.

Hi journalist1, can I ask why you are investigating? I have a booking with this company next week.
