If you knowingly use a voucher which has already been used, you are obtaining goods by deception which is illegal. There really is no grey area here, it is 100% illegal, and would be a fairly straightforward prosecution.

    Agree 100%.

    Hi all,

I went over the limit first time so my DTD should have been £41 but was of course knocked down to £20. Is there any chance I can return a couple of the items for a refund do you think (so I'm not out of pocket, lol)? I have redeemed my £20 voucher and was nervous as I didn't know what the cashier would do with my original receipt, luckily she mumbled "oh, I've not seen one of these before" about the voucher before she just shoved it in the till without so much as a glance at the receipt (what are they supposed to do with the original receipt anyway, sign them?). Anyway I have a nice virgin receipt so can I just get a refund, or with the barcode on the voucher have rumbled me, IYSWIM? Do they even link this up or is it the cashier signing it that matters?

Sorry very rambly. HUGE thanks for the spreadsheet, I am Tescos shopping in my sleep ;-)

Hmm, not a good idea to return stuff you've had DTD on. Best to chalk it up and calculate your shop better the next time. I know it's hard, I've spent ages sometimes standing with my trolley trying to calculate it all! But you *will* get the hang of it. Happy DTDing. :)
