No I will not stop my whinging! I am very for helping each other out, I have done the long lists in the past, but due my DD being ill I was unable to update for a few days and it got on top abit, but actually realised that people dont NEED lists, and DTD went on without my list in my absence believe it or not! If you are not willing to make abit of time to have a quick look through the threads and make a little list, then you obviously dont 'want or need' this promotion enough. And people are saying 'I cant get the spreadsheet to work and I need to look at so and so', erm hello there is 421 pages of DTD chatter and deals here, type it into the searchbar!

And yes the spreadsheet will most certainly end the promotion sooner. If not actually pulled by tesco, it will be a case of 'you will be lucky to ever find a DTD item on the shelves'. Nobody needs a spreadsheet really do they? Yes it makes it easier, but for anybody who really wants to benefit from the promotion, I'm sure they will manage without it. The majority using it are probably people who could not be bothered to DTD otherwise, and certainly wouldnt be willing to help others out by posting deals etc. So why hand it to them on a plate?

Has anyone ever bothered to appeal anything? I bought some blackcurrent lucozade but I've heard that this flavour doesn't work. It's clearly on Asda's website exactly the same as the other flavours which have been confirmed. Seems a bit stupid that they wont compare on a certain flavour. Didn't know if it was worth contacting them to ask why they wouldn't compare it?

why cant you all see that the spreadsheet is going to kill this promotion off FAST!
Totally agree - and also, the spreadsheet is not totally reliable, even checking with both websites right before I have gone shopping i have still been caught out a couple of times, just put it down to 'win some, lose some' - but i have to say, i agree with the feeling that really you have to do some work on this, its not totally something for nothing. I can remember a few years back when we got suncream on a great glitch at boots, people were asking to be sent some as peeps had got 'free' - well, sorry it was not free- first you have to look at the MSE thread and work out the glitch, drive to the store, get the stuff, brace yourself for grief at the checkout, be prepared for it to fail and leave your stuff on the counter, etc etc, etc. I have tried to give friends the heads up on various deals over the years, mostly to be met with incomprehension - I am sure we were all the same at the beginning of our MSE journey - had to keep reading the threads and gradually getting to grips with how things work, - you either stick with it or you give up. And some who think that the spreadsheet is going to be the ticket to ride will sadly come a-cropper I'm afraid.

    Help!

Can sombody PLEASE confirm what Tesco policy is on accepting third party conditional spend vouchers :
Eg spend £30 co op get £5 off.

    1. Do they accept (coop for example) coupons printed on line ?

    2. Do they accept the til spits from sainsburys?

I know they will accept the news paper offers for other supermarkets but when I asked at customer services they said that they didnt accept "computer print out vouchers" of this kind...which was strange as i had just picked up 2 boxes of gokat free at the cash desk with on line vouchers.

From what Ive read you can tell when C/S are making it up as they go along as you can see their lips moving!!!

Does any body know what their official policy is on these vouchers (conditional spend) as they would really help to enhance our spending.

    I can't see this happening.
Tesco run the actual price-check mechanism yes? So, they have in their database a list of all the shops we've done. It would be very very easy for them to compile a list of what's been DTDd the most, and act accordingly.
If they want a list of what people buying they have the first-hand information: why resort to an internet forum?

agreed! tesco know what they're doing, im sure someone up in tesco hq would have had an idea this would happen when bringing this promotion in! i mean how long have people been using the overcharge double the difference to their advantage, you only have to google it to bring up lots of mse threads, tesco know what we're like!!:rotfl:

Personally I am in favour of not having the spreadsheet. People aren't so daft that they cannot find the best deals. Goodness knows, you only need the tesco/asda/mysupermarket sites and it's all there at your fingertips. Anyone with any sense is going to check prices on these sites just before going shopping anyway.
A spreadsheet will also alert tesco and draw their attention to items as well. So why not just settle back, have a bit of fun and general chit-chat, and not get too involved in matters. It may just last longer that way.

I have to say I agree. It's a good deal and anyone with half a brain can figure out the best deals for themselves. it's about not taking things to extremes.

    Hmmmm....

I'm one of those still waiting for receipts from Friday evening.

Tonight at 6pm I've had an email from Tesco saying they can't find my receipt details from 28/03/11.

I've just dug out that receipt and it's signed suggesting it's already been used. Obviously I won't try and use it again but I'm wondering what the hell Tesco are playing at? I have had some receipts not signed so if that was one I'd have ended up thinking it's not used and so used it again... which wouldn't have been good.

Has this happened to anyone else??

yes I had that e-mail and it was about a voucher already used. I wonder if they are trying to catch us out? I got it on 1/4 along with the e-mails saying I had gone over my limit.
